Guest guest
Dear List Bowsing at my collection of books to give an answer to Stavavali about curses, i came accross this interesting passage. >From the Prasna Marga translated by Bhasin page 222 "The lorship of the 8th house is a defect that applies to every type of dasa (main period), while the defect in regard to the lordship of the 3rd, 5th and 7th constellation referred to in sloka 5 is applicable only to the naksatra dasas such as vimshottari, ashtottari, yoguini etc" Here we have a clue about how to "read" the constellations. We have read recently in this list about constellations. The book Muhurta by Raman deals very well with the naksatras. Main period of dasa should be consulted from the ownership of the lord of the dasa lord. For example, which houses are ruled by the dasa lord have a priority. And i would see as well the owned constellations. Raman say somewhere that any dasa is divided in 2 parts. The first part of the dasa is ruled by the first house ruled by that planet from the ascendant and the 2nd part is ruled by the 2nd house. Lets see an example. Suppose that you are dealing with a chart that has Aries rising in vedic astrology. And that the native is running the Venus dasa or main period of Venus. Analize the dasa of venus like this: For Aries rising, Venus rules Taurus and Libra or the 2nd and 7th house. Venus dasa runs for 20 years. So divide 20 by 2 and you get 2 parts of 10 years each. This means that although the native during the Venus dasa is going to experiment MAINLY the indications given from the 2nd and 7th house, the first 10 years are going to focus more on the indications of the 2nd house like assests, throath, speech, right eye etc. And the 2nd 10 years will focus more on the indications given by the 7th house like partners, marriage life etc. Notice that all the other indications from other houses are likely to appear as well but the 2nd and 7th house in this example will focus more. See as well the ownership of Venus regarding constellations. Venus rules constellations 2, 11 and 20. Notice that 1 + 1 = 2 and 2 + 0 = 2. >From the Moon's constellation, count to those constellations and see if they are good or bad regarding your star. For example, for Aries rising with the moon in Asvini or the constellation 1. Count from 1 to 2, 11 and 20 and you get 2, 2 and 2 as your Tara Balas for those constellations. When Tara balas are 1, 7, 5, or 3 the effects are bad in increasing proportion. 1 is mild and 3 is the worst. Tara balas 2,4,6,8 and 9 are good. So, in this example the main period of venus is representing an smooth time as indicated by the tara balas. We have read recently in this list about constellations. The book Muhurta by Raman deals very well with the naksatras. Any questions? best wishes Natabara Das
