Rohini to Mrgasira

Dear Cynthia

This is interesting because Mrgashira is the next nakshatra symbolise by the

deer .The deer is a timid creature who has a sharp sense of hearing and

therefore is skilled at hiding . The hunter would blow a sweet tune on his

horn and in this way the deer will give up it's timidity to search after

that sound . In this way the deer could be killed by the hunter . So these

stories illustrate the themes of searching and hiding associated with

Mrgasira . Taken to an extreme point if there is a strong 6th house

element(enemies) combined with Mrgasira the native may suffer from paranoia

..

At the end of Sri Krishna's life the Yadu dynasty wiped themselves out in a

fratricidal war .Then Krishna appeared to be killed by a deer hunter (who

was actually Bhrigu Muni) by being shot through the heel by an arrow . I say

appeared because there are 2 problems with this story firstly usually being

shot through the heel by an arrow is not enough to kill someone (I also

wonder if this is the origin of the Achilles heel idea) and secondly no deer

hunter would go looking for a deer on a battlefield . So this particular

history is therefore a part of Krishna's play , he merely appears to be

killed .

As George Harrison once sung

Jaya Sri Krishna

Fantastic. See Gita 9.11 and 9.12, Where the Lord says

that ignorant and foolish people think that His body

too is made of prakriti to be born and to die, while

it actually is 'avyaya' (changeless).

How can a changeless person die?

NDS

[me]

And here I have Sun in Mrgashira and I am a sucker for a sob

story...easiest way to get into my heart and open me up 'for the

kill'...<laugh>.

I think a Rohini Moon has done that for ME without any help from

anywhere else! HA! IN Western Astro, a Moon combust the Sun is

called a Balsamic Moon (waning) before it becomes a New Moon and it

carries a Lilith symbolism (dark moon)....one in which a person is

saying goodbye to many she/he has had to finish up karma with,

learning to not be attached to anything as everything is very

transitory...relationships come and go, children come and go, parents

come and go, etc., so that one can become self sufficient in a

spiritual sense.

Actually this reminds me of Chiron (a favorite Western

Placement)...the centaur shot with a poisoned arrow and being that he

was immortal...he suffered tremendous pain which then motivated him

to learning many things in his quest to find a cure yet suffering so

much (Shiva's tears?). Hmmmmmmm....
