Guest guest
Dear Cynthia I do not have a lot of personal insights into Rohini .Rohini is the favourite wife of the Moon God with each nakshatra representing one wife .As such she demonstrates refined female qualities .Being the heart of Taurus she is associated with the artistic side of Venus art ,painting, beauty .The charts I have include two artists .A woman with Moon in Rohini will posess tremendous grace . It is a very different nakshatra to the preceding one .Sometimes these natives can be unscrupulous and take advantage of others .This is because generally a favourite wife will take advantage of her situation . Candra's favouritism of Rohini caused neglect of the other wives which led the nakshatra's father to curse the Moon God who as a consequence waxes and wanes . That's my take on this nakshatra Nicholas
Guest guest
Dear list One other thing about Rohini is that Saturn retrograding in the end of this nakshatra seems to be associated with war .I'm not sure of the exact reason for this . Perhaps this nakshatra's association with sensuousness is disturbed by a long Saturn transit . Guest guest
Would it be too simplistic to see the current war as one fought about desires? The belief that the West is too attached to material desires? The fear of the power of a woman's face or any form or representational art? Let us not forget that Pluto is in Jyeshta the eldest wife. As a long-time western astrologer, Pluto transits cannot be ignored. Certainly Parashara would have used a telescope if one were available, wouldn't he? Surely the ability to see the outer planets plays a part in astrology as it does in the symbolism that they bring of the transpersonal world or simply of the growth of technology beyond what was visible by the human eye? Just a thought c - D. Stoll gjlist Sunday, December 16, 2001 8:44 PM Re: [GJ] Nakshatras Rohini Hi Nicholas, K.N. Guest guest
Dear Cynthia wouldn't every war be fought over some desire or other . Bin Laden and some of his supporters in the Islamic world fear the Americanisation of global culture and fear the dilution of Islam in the face of US and her allies economic and military domination . Therefore the attack on the WTC and Pentagon were full of symbolism becauser these are associated with the US economic and military power ..One photo taken on the day of the September 11 attacks of some place around the WTC had a giant billboard of a woman advertising underwear which looked quite incongruos after the event but there does seem to be symbolism at work . Just some thoughts Nicholas - cynthia novak gjlist Tuesday, December 18, 2001 3:52 AM Re: [GJ] Nakshatras Rohini Would it be too simplistic to see the current war as one fought about desires?
