Guest guest
Hello all this is Zamani I have been having this exact same conversation concerning divisional charts and the apparent lack of similarity in lifestyles of many people born with very similar (or even exact duplicate)Rashis charts...for some time now.I am fairly new to Vedic Astrology but I have had much experience and success with Western Astrology. My question always has been ,how do you know which divisional chart to reference, when you are faced with identical rashis but totally different life experiences?....and what if you have divisional charts that all give you disimilar answers or impressions. Also ,can we rely on divisional charts that heavy when they are so time sensitive? I was born (according to my birth certificate) at 10:23 am.So the only thing we have to work with is that time. However we know that many a nurse in a hospital has given a "round about time or given an estimate after the fact , and we also need to take into account how accurate the clocks were (or the watch the nurse or hospital person was using) Anyway , not to get into semantics. My point is that Divisional charts are EXTREMELY time sensitive, and most of us have the knowledge of Vedic Astrology and its principles through the long tradition that was passed down by the ancient texts and the masters who wrote them , (as well as the great Oral tradition). The problem is (once again) that in those times extremely accurate birthtimes may have been hard to come by ,so wouldnt their techniques for interpreting divisional charts (as well as which ones to use) be somewhat flawed? Especially since they didnt have the assistance of computers either? I understand that the superior divisional chart to reference along with the Rashi is the Navamsa! But how do we know that there couldnt be a superior interpretation if we referenced another divisional chart? These are just questions that ive had for some time and i dont purport to be an authority on this subject in the least..... nor do I stand in judgement of the excellence of the Vedic system , which I have witnessed many a time. Please give me some clarity on these issues if possible.Thank You all .....Zamani Send your FREE holiday greetings online! http://greetings. Guest guest
Dear Zamani Two points on your question although by no means a complete answer ..Divisional charts highlight different aspects of a person's life so there is a divisional chart for education another one for vehicles and another one for children . Another point on "same " rasi charts is to consider the rising degree of the chart . Planets near the rising degree have their significations highlighted ..So for example with George Harrison's standard Libra chart the Moon is on the ascending point .The Moon rules the 10th house for Librans and so this emphasises the aspect of career in George's life and makes for an emotional person . This is one of the strong points for the standard birth time a Virgo Lagna would give a more intellectual/educational nature . One point about birth times is that the accuracy of these varies from country to country . American ones are probably the world's most accurate because of the ongoing threat of litigation hospitals have been keeping very accurate records for quite a long time . So God bless all those much maligned legal eagles and the service they are rendering to Vedic astrologers . Kind regards Nicholas
