Greetings,

 

Lois Rodden on her website mentions that one of the unknown birth

times

she is looking for, is for J.K. Rowling the Harry Potter author. I was

wondering if the group would like to rectify a time based on the events

of

her life I managed to collect from the internet. I myself, am

tentatively

looking at a Simha lagna. The following is the biographical details:

Born: July 31, 1965

Time: ?

Place: Chipping Sodbury, Gloucestershire, England

51N33, 2W24

 

Mother was half Scottish, half French. Worked as a lab assistant

Father was an aircraft engineer with Rolls Royce.

One sibling, a sister, is 2 years younger.

 

1974 - Moved with family to Wales

1980 - Mother diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis

1982 - Becomes Head Girl, or lead pupil at Wyedean Comprehensive

1983 - Attended University of Exeter to study French and Classics

1985 - Spent one year in France as a teaching assistant as part of

degree

1987 - Graduates, and works briefly for Amnesty International in London

1988-1990 - Works as a secretary. Hates the job.

1990 - Mother dies of M.S.

1991 - (last half) - Moved to Portugal to teach English as a Second

Language

1992 - (October 16) - Married a Portuguese Journalist

1993 - (July) Daughter Jessica is born

- (November) Divorces husband

- (Christmas) - moves to Edinburgh, Scotland to stay with

sister

1994 - Endures brief period of severe depression. Financially strapped.

1994-95 -Went to college to get a teaching certificate to teach French

1995 - Starts work as a French teacher

- Finishes writing first book

1996 - (June) Gets positive feedback on her 1st novel from a publishing

exec.

1997 - (February) - Scottish Arts Council gives her a record grant for a

childrens author.

1997 - (June) - First novel published.

1998-2001 - 3 more novels published. Now apparently richer than the

Queen of England.
