Eclipses and their impact

Hi Folks,

 

Couple of years back, I surfed a website astrologyzone.com, which in my

monthly forecast said life would not be the same after that eclipse. It was

true to the dot. Ever since I am wary when I read that an eclipse is

occurring. There is another one waiting to unfold on Dec 30, 2001.

 

I have not read about the impact of Eclipses in Indian/ Vedic astrology.

Can anyone explain how to determine if the Eclipse will impact a sun sign or

a Raasi, and why they impact our lives so much?

I have a similar interest. the upcoming eclipse will sit

exactly on my lagna.

Dear All

Here are some of the things I've noticed after 20+years doing western and now

several doing Vedic.

 

Eclipses are most significant to folks born on or near an eclipse, either lunar

or solar. This group is very sensitive even when the eclipse doesn't really

hit a personal planet.

 

For most of us, the eclipse is most powerful when the node (Rahu or Ketu)

tightly conjoins one of your personal planets or angle: Lagan, MC, IC or DSC.

 

The Rahu eclipse will often bring something. The Ketu will take something away.

In the case of the 12-14 eclipse, it is in a very difficult nakshatra, Jyeshta

and both the Sun and Moon have just crossed Venus who is tightly joined to

Pluto. This indicates betrayal on some or several levels. The Moon is the

perceptions, so watch where your thoughts take you. Try to pull yourself out

of any fear-based compulsive thinking patterns. Remember, 29 degree of Scorpio

is symbolic of drowning, here, you might drown in your own fear-based thoughts

when the eclipse will actually take away Ketu those fears as it passes. This

is just one possible scenario. Notice that Ketu is in another nakshatra. Your

ASC will likely be triggered either by the eclipse OR by Ketu. The latter is,

in my opinion more difficult than the former. The most difficult obstacle will

be between your ears <grins>

 

Eclipses are highly dramatized and rarely do they bring big events. They do,

however, trigger us to make a turn in direction. This one with the Venus link

to it is likely to trigger relationship "stuff." Many will find themselves

having a sort of "ah-ha" experience. Perhaps looking into the mirror and

knowing...I mean really "Knowing" that a change is needed. That awareness is

the beginning of action that can result in the change that has been thwarted

before.

 

You might also look back in time to the eclipses that occurred during difficult

times in your life. Look back to last Christmas. Ketu is at the same area now

that the eclipse triggered last year. What do you need to do in a relationship

that you haven't done. It could be to mend old wounds or walk away. Each

person will experience it differently. The awakening experience is real. What

you choose to do with it is your free will. Oh, there I gave myself away. I

truly am a western woman.

just read this post..this is never more true for me than now.....as i'm going

through major trauma right now (mother/cancer) which surfaced around the

christmas period last year.. i have ketu in the ninth..anyhow just wanted to

say how relevant this post is to me right now
