By following those rules we might find the proper muhurta. Or we may ask some Hindu temple pujaris. They are likely to know. Also, include the local place from where you want to follow that muhurta. (Take for instant Lakshmi puja on this day) Note I am located in SUVA,FIJI ISLANDS. Also note the Amavasya Begin at 8.38 p.m on Nov 14 2001 and Ends at Nov 15 2001 at 6.40p.m ,Suva,FIJI TIME. We in Fiji Island celebrated Deepavali on Nov 15 2001. Were we right. But Deepavalinis always celebrated on the night of Amavasya and 15th night was not Amavasya. Also if you devide the who Amavasy period into four equal parts, even then Deepavali must be celebrated during the begining parts rather than ending parts.
