She is in SAT/Rahu dasha now and someone had said this is going to be a difficult period for her. To me it seems Shani should favor her, about Rahu I have some apprehension. Can someone among you wiseones shed some light. I will really appreciate. Here are the data. Born: Aburoad, India Lat. 24N40, Long.72E45, Aug. 30 1946, 11:50 AM. Ayanamsa: Yukteshwer: 21:42:25 ASc. She might also be full figured since Jupiter is in her 1st house. Further, she might be very tidy in keeping her household. Since Saturn is in the 10th house and Rahu is exalted, the time period of Sat/Rahu should be fairly auspicious for career and competition related to it. However, she needs to be aware of the transit of Saturn in her 8th house, particularly during the transit in her 22nd drekkana. If her parents are still alive, the transit of Saturn might affect them specifically. She has some good yogas in her chart as well. But I will stop here. She is also very well versed in mathematics and physical sciences. However, Since the Sat/Rahu dasha she had to quit her job, due to extreme stress and since then has decided to take semi-retirement for now. So this prediction is not so correct. I also have another question. Her horoscope was drawn in India by a well known Jyotishi. He apparently used Ykteshwar ayanasma. If I use Lahiri, I get the following: Lagna Libra 16 0' 3'' Sun Leo 13 8' 30'' Moon Virgo 24 13' 50'' Mars Virgo 20 3' 43'' Mercury Cancer 28 42' 36'' Jupiter Libra 1 53' 29'' Venus Virgo 29 6'16'' Sat Cancer 10 17' 32'' Rahu Taurus 23 35' 49'' Ketu scorpio 23 35' 49'' Venus moves to 12th and Merc. to 10th. She has 27th Degree of Libra rising with Lahiri's Ayanamsa. I rectified her time to 11:51AM, as per your statement that she is good in Mathematics. As per Jaimini, Ketu or Mercury should be trine to Navamsa Lagna. I made her Navamsa Lagna as Gemini. Mercury aspecting it should show interest in Physical Sciences. As per my calculation she/you would have gotten married between Dec 69 - Oct 70. Was it a love marriage??? She is running Rasi Narayana Dasa of Taurus from August 99 - August 02. Ta is the 8H and has Malefic Rh. Its lord is Ve debilitated in 12. Come Aug 2002...Gemini Dasa will run...Its the 9H, and its lord is in 10H with Yogakaraka, so this will definitely boost career prospects. But I expect the change for good to show effect from May 15 2002. Is her Job related to teaching/consulting/management/computers. In your wife's case, we need to see her navamsa chart to see where Saturn and Rahu is located. According to jyotish principles, Saturn is a yogakaraka for a Libra ascendant (as shown in her Rashi chart). Most astrologers in the U.S. use the Lahiri ayanamsha. So, her Venus could change houses depending on what ayanamsha is used (in this case Yuktiswar's). Practically speaking, if she shows Venusian qualities, then I would say that Venus is in her 1st house. Some of the predictions made using Yukteshwar ayanamsa were very accurate, so I have more faith in that. Is there a guidline for the accuracy of ayanamsa's ? What would be your prediction based on this chart.
