Guest guest
Dear Manu Normally Good Yogas need good house placements to fructify .Posession of a yoga is only one factor . Generally good Lords are wasted in dusthanas . The interaction of Good Lords by aspect may be a strengthening feature for a chart > For Virgo lagna Me and Ve placed in 6th , Moon Placed in 12th, Ju placed in > 8th.All the benifics even though occupied dustantha , aspect each other and > for good yogas Jupiter aspecting so many planets may be good for spirituality and renuciation > Yogas of 9th and 10th lord Native engages in beneficial works > Yogas of 2nd and 11th lord Wealth producing > overall 1st,2nd,9th ,10th ,11th lord in combination Produces good works that aid financially > Lord of 11th went to 12th and lord of 2nd went to 6th but now they aspects > each other .....is it a good yoga for income and money? No .I would argue that bad placement is paramount here . > > > How will be the Chandra Dasha ? For Virgos Moon dasha is followed by Mars dasha which is 8th Lord .Candra is 11th Lord (quite materialistic Lord) placed in the 12th which is the house of moksha . Mars is the Lord of transformation .Try to see the sequence . Candara dasha could see increased disinterest in material attainments which then manifest as transformations to a more spiritual outlook in Mars dasha . These are clues .A complete analysis requires the chart . Nicholas (not a respected Guru0
Guest guest
Manu, About the chart you described: When Moon is in 12 or 2, then it forms a 12/2 relationship with the Lagna. This is sometimes called "Dwirdwadashamsha", which is just saying "12/2" really. So, it means, that the Lagna is 2nd to the Moon, and the Moon is 12th to the Lagna. So, the Moon is in a position to "drain" the lagna, or participate with "Loss" for the person by participating with the persons material 12th house. The Lagna is "material" or the physical, and the Moon is more mental and emotional. So this means that the person identifies with that wavelength of reality represented by their 12th sign, and in doing so, they cause problems with their native birth situation or karma, or in other words, they are emotionally and mentall opposed to their own birth karma. This dichotomy is pretty major. People who have Moon in the 12th or 2nd moreso have a mental life which is at odds with their external karma, moreso than others. This is therefore often found in the charts of persons who wish to get away from something connected with their body, such as the families religion, or their own looks or bodily nature, or their society. It's a bit like having Ketu in the 1st in that way. Because Chandra is placed like this, therefore the angles of the Moon become all 12th from their angles, and the trines from the Moon are all 12th to their trines from the ascendent. So, this further shows, how significant it is to have Moon in the 12th. Those planets you mentioned, are all in 7 and 9 from the Moon, meaning, they are placed pretty well, from the Moon, and the whole situation changes. What I see in this case is that relationships the person is mentally and emotionally drawn to are innappropriate for them materially perhaps, and their inner sense of religion is different from their birth religion, and so on. Here's a list of famous people with Moon in 12th in Leo Very famous: Winston Churchill John F. Kennedy Rajiv Gandhi Less so: Shirley Maclaine Pete Townshend Stephen Stills Robert Blake Jose Ferrer Victoria Abril Deborah Kerr Walter Koch Jim Ryun Jim Plunkett Alan Dershowitz Richard Bach Rudolf Friml Ira Von Furstenberg Johnny Mathis Birgit Nilsson A. Roosevelt Longworth Megan Marshack Georges Simenon I've noticed some famous, healthy people, who have alot of dustana placements. There is the concept of Sarala Vipreet Raja Yoga, meaning, when the dustana lords go to the other dustanas, it tends to create a vacuum of those bad qualities. Some say this is because the dustanas are harming each other, thus all evil is removed from the chart. However, overall, Moon in 12 in Leo brings up a split between inner and outer worlds, and between hopes and giving up, or donating self to some cause, to gain one's true desires, I feel. ??? -- Das Goravani ps: Are you the Manu Smith from Panorama farm in Badger? Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah--------------------------Dear Manu, A Yoga shall dominate over any positional result. Specific house position tells us other things about the nature and areas from where the yoga will fructify. For example, in the sapta Rishi nadi, there is he discussion about the Guru mangala Yoga and Atri Maharishi explains the greatness of this Yoga in the sixth house... Other points have been addressed by others.Best WishesSanjay Rath - manu smith gjlist Saturday, October 27, 2001 5:58 AM [GJ] Good Yogas in Dustantha Lord of 9th & 10th in 6th house Respected Gurus, I would appreciate if someone can shed some light on this issue.Which is more dominant .....House placement of the planets or their Yogas???? Guest guest
Dear Manu, when looking at any planet's house position it is the influences on it and the yogas it is forming that indicate whether the planet will give good or ill results. YOu will find that many successful peolpe have several planets in dusthanas. EVERYTHING the planet is doing has to be taken into consideration, not just the house placement from the lagna, which is just one factor of many. THere is a yoga: Asubha Mala -inauspicious garland- Yoga: All the benefics in the 6th, 8th and 12th houses. "One will resort to bad ways, is unhappy, will tease or kill others, be ungrateful, timid, without reverence for Brahmins, cursed, and fond of quarrels." BUt even with this yoga have been seen successful people. Some people with planets in dusthanas: John Travolta, 3 planets in the 8th; Hirohito, emperor of Japan with the three benefics in dustanas; Bruce Lee with 3 benefics in dustanas. Geraldine Ferraro with three benefics in dustanast, and the list goes on and on. So success is not impossible when planets are in dusthanas, though the elements of the house will always be part of the success.
