Guest guest
Dear Sanjay 1. Re. your reply to 'FULL MOON BLUES' of 19 October, could you explain the meaning of 'The Satya Narayana Vrata'? 2. During one of your presentations at the BAVA Conference in London last September, you stated that: "death comes in a person's life every 11 years". Could you expand on this please. Thanks. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah--------------------------Dear Dany, 1) Satya means truth and Narayana refers to Bhagavan. For more details on understanding Narayana read the preface to my book 'Narayana dasa". Satya Narayana refers to the Jupiterian aspect of Bhagavan as the teacher and remover from the cycle of karma. From this we learn that all major religion teachers are associated with the Full Moon days. Mantra is OM TAT SAT 2) There are 11 Rudra. As explained in my article on Karma and Free will, the longevity can also be altered by Karma in this life. There was an article in a Magazine about how an astrologer had taken his old client to an Nadi reader and the last days were predicted in details at the age of 70 including Month, date Lagna etc. Now, the client passed away in exactly the tithi, Lagna etc as predicted but at the age of 59. So, the astrologers was trying to say that the Nadi's are wrong. I had to intervene and explained in a letter that this shortfall of 11 years has resulted due to an abuse of the body and other Karma in this life. That is why 70-11 = 59 was the age. This is called APAMRITYU in Jyotish parlance. Best WishesSanjay Rath - danielle-rose gjlist Sunday, October 21, 2001 9:45 PM [GJ] Questions for Sanjay Dear Sanjay1. Guest guest
Om Gurave Namah--------------------------Dear Venkat, BELIEVE IT OR NOT YES The Rishi's have the key to this knowledge and a lot is ther in Hatha Yoga etc in the wisdom of the sages, but I wonder if we are in a position to exploit this. Vedic Astrology speaks of a term called DEERGHA Ayus which is BEYOND the POORNA AYUS i.e. more than the full life span itself!!! Not one Parasara, but many have mentioned this. At least Krishna stayed in this planet for 144 years to prove that all this is true if you can do the right Karma. I wonder if we can do it..Madhavacharya is another example of long life I think 108 years. When my uncle and Guru Late Pt. Kasinath Rath left the planet at 96 years, he used to say that rubbing oil between the toes and joints and reciting the Gayatri was the clue. He could walk straight and tall till the very end... second cycle of Saturn in my Lagna and natal Jupiter.. Guest guest
Dear Sanjay Thank you very much for your reply. 1. I now understand the concept of Narayana better thanks to the preface of your book. 2. I have also read your very interesting article on Karma & Free Will. I was particularly interested by the fact that one can actually measure the extent of one's current karma by using Prasna. I think it's fascinating! In paragraph 4, you say that 'Jupiter is strong in simhalokamsa' . What is the meaning of 'simhalokamsa'? 3. In your reply to my question on longevity, you said that there are '11 Rudras', what is a 'Rudra'? Like Visti, I look forward to your explaining 'the technique of reckoning the 11 year intervals'. Thank you for your help and for the time you spend on teaching us.
