Sagittarius or Capricorn/Dashas

Before I went off last Saturday, I wanted to make a comment about the

dashas in relation to the lagna question of Shrila Prabhupada

Bhaktivedanta´s chart, just to keep things going. However, in my

haste I made a boo boo. I stated that Shrila Prabhupada´s separation

from his wife took place in Saturn Rahu. That is because I looked at

the " Ju " ending on the screen and thought " Rahu." Sorry.

 

First of all, when we look at the dashas, we have to remember that

the time we use will dictate the timing of the dahsas to a degree. We

are talking about a birth time between three and four o´clock, so

there can be a big impact on the dashas.

 

I´ll say this in relation to the Sagittarius ascendent chart- in

1954, the Mecury major period began. Mercury is favorable to the

marriage karma, so the breakup probably occured before its beginning,

in other words, in Saturn-Jupiter of the Vimshottari system.. Saturn

would have given married life because he occupies the sign of

marriage, the seventh sign, exalted. But in keeping with the general

nature of Saturn, what to speak of his lordship and the general

marriage karma of the horoscope, those married years of Saturn were

characterized by strife.

 

But Saturn would have to have given the final result before the

beginning of the Mercury period; even though Saturn occupies the

seventh sign, he aspects the house of the marriage bond as a bad

lord, so he had to break the karma at one point. The timing is not

surprising since Saturn´s principal results tend to manifest towards

the end of his period. Jupiter occupies the house of loss from the

lord of the house of marriage as well as the karaka, so Jupiter as

the sub lord figures.

 

There are a few days of the chara periods when the chara period of

Taurus-Aquarius begins before Jupiter-Rahu ends, that they are both

operating simultaneously. Although Taurus is a domestic sign, there

is no real direct threat to the marraige karma by the mere fact that

the Taurus major is operating. The Aquarius sub period augurs badly

for marriage as Aquarius contains the planet Rahu, who aspects the

house of marriage.

 

During this whole time period, in the Yogini system, Saturn-Venus was

operating, and therefore Yogini doesn´t much indicate the break.

 

If we knew the day of the break, we could compare the overlap of the

Vimshottari Saturn-Jupiter with the Chara Taurus-Rahu and get a good

estimate of the moment of birth.

 

In the Capricorn lagna chart, it becomes more difficult to make the

connections leading to a break. In the Chara scheme, the Gemini major

period is operating, its lord mercury benefitting the karaka Venus.

 

The Jupiter sub period of the Vimshottari isn´t a likely one to

participate in the breakup anyway because Jupiter occupies the house

of the marital bond as a benefic, which suggests continuity of the

karma under Jupiter´s period. And the Vimshottari Saturn-Jupiter ends

in earlier, necessitating a break early in the year in order to make

the connection because Mercury-Mercury would not have broken the

marriage up at all. Again, I doubt that Jupiter, even as a sub period

lord, would have participated in the breakup. I don´t see that the

periods in operation support the Capricorn lagna.

 

At any rate, the breakup of Shrila Prabhupada´s marriage, as well as

the timing, get a lot of justification in the Sagittarius chart.

There is cohesiveness between the chart and the planetary periods;

not that you find a factor in the chart, then you go to the periods

and the period of the causitive planet is not operating.
