One last observation

Thank you very much for your posting. Although i have been very close to ISCKON

from 1972 to 1992, somehow i had to become aisolated and i missed some

developings about it. For the past year or so i have been reading as much as i

can to get up with the news and i have been learning a lot, but i am alway

learning.

 

Last year i posted very innocently that i have been following Sagittarius lagna

for Prabhupada's lagna since 1979 or so. I was puzzled to find a heavy

reaction to my feelings cos i was told it was Capricorn lagna. I did not know

at that time why a such reaction but i was curious.

 

I heard some rumors from some friends of Krishna in Newcastle but we do not have

the evidence and today i just found from your posting about the allergy against

Sag lagna.

 

Thanks again for your info which i put it in my books for further reference.

 

I have read about Prabhupada saying that he was born around 4pm but i also have

read as well that he gave Mithuna as his moon sign.

 

We can especulate about this discrepancies but only especulate. We can follow

whatever lagna we want until someone comes with the right evidence. Meanwhile,

i have to say that i follow Sag lagna based on my personal studies of his bio

and i do not take rumors seriously. I am not in a court of law, we do not

have the evidence and it is not my job. Let others say whatever they want, and

i will keep my theories to myself.

 

The only thing important to me is that i am indebted to Prabhupada for having

giving me shelter, prasadam and Krishna through his ISCKON when i needed it

most. I am not his formal disciple but i have read almost all his books 3

times. He respected vedic astrology but he warned us that it was a part of

the karma kandha section in the vedas.

In my own experience i have to post my views about this. Some devotees may

think that such and such got Guru's benedictions and so forth. Or that cos i

am the disciple of a great soul then i am great. Remember the Vaisnava lessons

of humility and that Prabhupada came to rescue the lowest. Prabhupada gave his

benedictions and he is still doing it, to all those devotees that are sincere

in their endeavours of bakti.

 

Prabhupada embraced Jayathirta and cried on his shoulders in 1977 and where is

Jayathirta now? Where are all those "blessed" devotees now?. Be should be

cautios about following blindly, we should know better.
