Dear Purushottama

<<"Rahu gives good or bad effects depending upon the nature of the planet he

associates with. That planet, though good and benefic by himself, will due

to his association with Rahu, specially cause evil effects during the

concluding period of his dasa." (Phaladipika 20:39)>>

IMHO experience, dasa chidra or the end of a main period is very likely to cause

evil effects. It can be any dasa and not only Rahu's. You can verify this rule

by consulting your own end of dasas in your past. Dasas for me are like rivers

flowing, running. At the end of the river where the sweet water of the river

mixes with the salty waters of the sea, the water is mixed, murky and turbulent.

We cannot see where the river ends or the sea starts. Dasa chidra is like that,

mixed and turbulent. It is the end of a main period and the beginning of the

next. The changes are relative according to the position and promise indicated

by the planets in the chart.

Best wishes
