Guest guest
Dear Stavavali Matayi, pranams <<i just wonder why it wasn't picked up beforehand astrologically speaking..>>. I know how you feel about this case. We get many feelings, many questions. Even if we knew the outcome what we can do? We can not stop destiny. Yes, it would be better to screen people beforehand, that has been done in other sampradayas to avoid fallings. But we need conscripts willing to fight Maya, to give to others a little bit of vedic knowledge. When I was a little boy I read encyclopedias saying that Krishna is a myth and I accepted because I thought they knew better. I went against my imposed religion while a teenager but later on I saw that most of the great cultures in the past worshipped the Sun as God. I thought that the Sun must be God then, but time later by God's mercy, a revelation came to me that God is the Supreme Personality of Godhead Krishna and that He has many names according to religions. It made sense and I was grateful of having found God at last. The Aztecs were very nasty in general because of their human sacrifices. Imagine when the Spaniards landed in Mexico in 1519 and walked from the coast to Mexico City. They encountered that in every village and on the road, the Axtecs had pot rituals were they had human remains. They sacrificed humans and were cannibals. The Spaniards were destined to finish with those ghastly rituals. But some aztecs were very artistic and had good astrologers. They knew when to procreate to get a child that was going to be a doctor, musician or whatever they needed in their society according to their horoscope. In an ideal society, we could chose the best but we are in Kali yuga. Going back to your question. I almost died and when I was in hospital I thought "why me?I think that I am a nice guy to suffer this", but I knew that I was paying for some unseen karma and that I was lucky that it was not worst. In my childish desire, I wanted to meet Yamaraja, Lord of death, and tell him that it was unfair to see other souls suffering, that he had to change his ways. But I knew that he and the other demigods know better than i and that I do not have the whole picture. <<if you take sanyassa you will have a falldown>> Not necessarly but it is a risk to take and it requires a lot of courage. I know about a devotee wanting sanyass. My guru asked some questions beforehand and told him "I am sorrry, I can not give you sanyass because you are too young". My friend was disappointed but he understood and next day he did his baggage and was ready to go home. At that moment a devotee came to him and stop him to tell him. "Guru Maharaja did dont want to give you sanyass because you are very young but last night he had a dream that the Lord told him to give you sanyass" So for some unknown reasons, my friend became sanyass and went to preach in far away places and eventually became a guru. He gave Krishna to many thirsty souls, books, Maha Mantra etc. but eventually he "fell". Who to blame? At least he had the courage to go to those souls and give nectar to them. They lost a guru but got the nectar, the maha Mantra. Hare Krishna Natabara Das
