Guest guest
Dear Dharmapada et al, The limiting factor for siblings are clear to see if we look without prejudice. Most important is the placement of Jupiter, lord of 3rd (younger siblings) and natural significator of elder siblings. Surely *this* Jupiter conjunct 8th lord (in 8th) will limit siblings... The fact that (in spite of this) Prabhupada had one elder sister, can be seen by examining the influences on 11th house and it's lord. 11th lord Mars (elder siblings) and natural significator of younger siblings, is weakened by being in the house of an enemy and is therefore unable to fully advance the affairs of the houses he owns or occupies...but be mindful of the relationship between Mars and (exalted) Moon...observe that they are in each other's nakshatra...therefore Moon (female Moon), has become a significator for siblings; due to this strong relationship with Mars. I find it entirely feasible that *this* Moon's aspect on 11th house could give a female elder sibling. Best Wishes, Wendy PS: In reply to Ron's query re "event analysis"...so far all that's been offered is the year of major events. As it's necessary to consider three dasa levels, it's well nigh impossible to confirm any major event with this limited information. ========================== Wendy Vasicek: Vedic Astrologer http://welcome.to/Vedic Astrology/ wenvas

Most important is the placement of Jupiter, lord of 3rd (younger siblings) Wendy, The placement of Jupiter accounts for the lack of younger brothers, not older ones. So we are back to square one, the Capricorn chart doesnotsupporta limitednumber ofolder siblings. > and natural significator of elder siblings. Wendy! Now Jupiter is the natural significator of elder siblings. this is not generally accepted astrology. Mars is the general indicator, and then there is a house of younger and older. I mean, you can find any obscure statement, especially in substandard works, but over the milennia it is generally accepted that Mars is the karaka in generalforbrothers and that there is a house ofyounger and older brothers. > Surely *this* Jupiter conjunct 8th lord (in 8th) will limit siblings... Younger ones only. > The fact that (in spite of this) Prabhupada had one elder sister, can be seen by examining the influences on 11th house and it's lord. It is not seen by examining the influences on the 11th house and lord. *Various* siblings are seen, not just one. 11th lord Mars (elder siblings) Wendy- Why is Mars the karaka of elder siblings only? What major writer states this? > and natural significator of younger siblings, is weakened by being in the house of an enemy and is therefore unable to fully advance the affairs of the houses he owns or occupies Mars is the lord ofa quadrant for Capricorn andsits in a very benefic house, a house which strengthens him. He sits there next to the exalted moon, also in a trine, and with a good bit of brightness to its credit. Wendy- You statement above is putting you in thesame category of interpreter as Purushottama. I am shocked by some of the things that I have heard on this list. You can attach any meaning to anything on this list and nobody raises an objection. ....but be mindful of the relationship between Mars and (exalted) Moon...observe that they are in each other's nakshatra...therefore Moon (female Moon), has become a significator for siblings; due to this strong relationship with Mars. In the Capricorn chart, a masculine sign falls in the house of older siblings, masculine Mars aspects it, and two masculine planets square the house. The predominating influence is masculine. I say this besides having substantiated that various older siblings are supported by the Capricorn chart. > I find it entirely feasible that *this* Moon's aspect on 11th house could give a female elder sibling. I agree with this, but that is only half the issue. There have to be brothers.
