Guest guest
I simply meant, that in the West, the followers of SRF still maintain their regular lives more, in general, than ISKCON devotees who do a more heavy "joining". ISKCON is more "serious" in "joining" and "surrendering" than the other groups/movements, and in that I'm referring not to it being "better", but just logistacally in one's life a more "drastic" decision. That's all I meant. I did NOT mean that the Sampradaya/Message etc isn't serious. I meant "serious = intense = dramatic" life change externally. It's not a judgement. I was trying to talk about the way the movement and "joining" is materially manifested in the life of the person joining. Examples: Do SRF people chant in the street? Are they known for preaching in airports. Is it seen as a national cult? The meer fact that the most famous picture related to SRF is that famous one of Paramahansa Yogananda when young, with hair. It's acceptable to everybody, even looks a bit like an acceptable Jesus figure. Compare that to any picture of stern faced shaven headed Prabhupada. The whole vibe of these two movements is WAY different. If you compare, there's no comparison. These differences I was referring to. These are real, but it was NOT a judgement on my part at all. Sorry it wasn't clear. Peace to everyone. Das Goravani
