Guest guest
hare krishna Das Gauravani prabhu please accept my obeisances..all glories to Srila Prabhupada.. i never said or implied, that it wasn't a serious matter....i have never underestimated the damage that it has caused..one of my close friends was his disciple...but who are any of us, to judge anyone in this regard... forgive me for saying this but you are wrong to say he had people fooled for years....he was a genuine Guru...for many many years and was dedicated to Srila P rabhupada's mission... he fell sick, seriously sick...within his mind..why and how, i'm not prepared to say anymore than that, as i've stated previously i don't wish to make offences to him by jumping on a bandwagon..i firmly believe this is between himself and Krishna, it's a salutory lesson to all of us that even the most dedicated of Guru's can falldown in this age of Kali, no-one is immune to it...and before we start pointing the finger at others...perhaps we need to start with ourselves..look at ourselves, our actions,....our own behaviour.none of us are so perfect that we can stand in judgement of others, it's so easy to critisize...none of us know the full circumstances of his behavioural patterns and their consequences..as i said before he needs our prayers and our compassion. .. i found the term kamikazee krishna's strange and somewhat offensive..i'm quite sure it wasn't meant to be offensive...could you let me know what it means....as i have been a devotee for a long time and have never encountered a kamikazee krishna anywhere at any level. your servant stavavali devi dasi
Guest guest
Yes, I would like to point out as historical fact, that when studying the chart of Harikesh (ex) Swami, it's important to note that his fall, more than any other, affected more small people more strongly than any other. He was the most fanatical and long lasting, being extremely dominant, oppressive, heavy, like the "Bin Laden" of ISKCON. So, when he decided to give all that up, he left ALOT of EXTREMELY damaged people in his path in Europe. I am very well aware of this as my close friend is Swiss, and we are still dealing regularly with friends in Zurich and elsewhere who are HIGHLY damaged by having given their lives like Kamakazi Krishna's under Harikesh influence, and then when he left and changed, this put them into headspins that are really serious. So his life and influence on ISKCON Eastern Europe, and thousands of disciples, was of a very large magnitude. This is true. It is not the behavior of an "advanced" Vaisnava at all. It is the behavior of someone who had himself and alot of other people fooled for years and years, and with disastrous consequences. I GUARANTEE you that is the correct understanding. It is SERIOUS what he did. VERY SERIOUS. There was a good deal of INTENSE mental pain, and yes SUICIDES and many millions of dollars lost from the mission. I was the servant of his counterpart, another of the "Original 11" and I witnessed and knew them all very closely, and their falldowns, one by one, and am all too aware of what it means to TRY to be a 'great' Vaisnava before you really are, and the consequences of the reality setting in later. I knew them and their lives and struggles personally, much like say one who is close to the Cardinals in the Vatican. The fall of Hansadutta ruined my life for years, but I got over it. The way Vaisnava Guru/Disciple relationship goes in Gaudiya Math is nothing like TM or SRF or Osho- it's much more serious and committed. These "falldowns" cause extreme confusion- extreme. Make no mistake there. It's very serious. -- Das Goravani 2852 Willamette St # 353 Eugene OR USA 97405 or Fax: 541-343-0344 "Goravani Jyotish" Vedic/Hindu Astrology Software

Namaste dear Raghu!!! i loved your posting, Dasji, but must say that i majorly disagree with your assessment of the SRF groups as not being serious or committed...in my experience with them, and with their lineage of Gurus, there is TOTAL COMMITMENT expected AND given to the line of Gurus....the SRFers although they may appear to just be ordinary american folks, and even having Christ as one of their Gurus, are a very powerful force for the Divine on this plane...Paramahansa Yoganandaji was one of the Great Ones, a veritable Mahatma, said by his devotees to be a Premavatar....so it would seem appropriate to see just a little more respect shown towards his organization...and the folks who are seriously trying live by the teachings of their Guru...just because they don't put on monk's clothes and shave their heads, and preach on the streets does NOT mean that they are any LESS SERIOUS than the members of ISKCON... One of the signs of His (Yoganandaji's) greatness could be found in the later histories of the organization...unlike ISKCON...the SRF movement has had NO FALLS....there are NO DISGRACED former swamis...there are NO court cases around alleged abuse of children and devotees... as Christ has said "By their works shall ye know them"...and by this same token if we take the works and the actions of an organization to be the karmic results of its Gurus, then in actual fact, my dear brother, the SRF movement is FAR MORE SERIOUS than ISKCON!!! they have lasted FAR LONGER...and are still going strong, and increasing in numbers every day...in point of fact my dear friend it seems pretty obvious to me that SRF has done MUCH more good to the world than ISKCON..simply because there are NO SCANDALS, NO ABUSE, and NO FALLS....the teachers trained up by Yoganandaji, and his successors, are seriously dedicated to their Divine Work, and NEVER have i EVER HEARD of any suspicions of abuse by ANY of them....so much CANNOT be said for ISKCON!!! Thus when we are dissing other spiritual organisations, we should perhaps be a little more sensitive to the possibilities that some of the members of this list may be devotees of the dissed Gurus....there are DEFINITELY some TM'ers on the list...possibly there are also some Osho devotees, many of whom may feel just as strongly about their Guru, as we do about ours!!!there are definitely some devotees of Yoganandaji on the list.... i am not even a member of SRF any longer...and it is NOT their fault, but rather my own lack of commitment to their path which caused me to leave that path for a few years....until i met my Ammachi...my entire story of which you have read in the most exhaustive and nauseating details earlier on the list... But i DO have a profound LOVE and RESPECT for Paramahansa Yoganandaji, and His entire organisation!! They are some of the most seriously committed spiritual practioners i have seen...they just quietly, unobtrusively, slip into the woodwork, and so you never even notice them...as they quietly do their Sadhana for both themselves and for the entire world...so please dear friend, do not diss such organisations as SRF...they are at least as serious as any ISKCON organisation!! thank you for hearing my spirited defense of my first Guru and His Divine Mission!! my words are not in any way intended to wound anyone's feelings, or to put any particular organisations down farther than they may have sunk on their own....but i felt that i simply MUST defend the SRF organization for being some of the most dedicated, serious, Sadhakas in the world today...SRF is ONE of the FEW such spiritual missions which has escaped unscathed from the serious Guru questionings and betrayals of the last few years...they are actually a beacon of Divine Light in the darkness of this age!!!! Just as Ammachi, and Her Divine Mission are a veritable Sun of Light in this darkness!! i realise that you were just "rambling" in your letter, but please be a little more aware of just who may be lurking on the list... we do not need to put anyone off from contacting any particular spiritual organisation for guidance...and especially i believe that we should NOT be directing folks away from such legitimate and highly motivated organisations as SRF....it simply is not fair to the seekers in the audience, nor is it fair to the many longtime practioners of Yoganandaji's sadhanas who are extremely dedicated to their spiritual practices... In Yoganandaji's Defense, and in the Divine Mother's Love and in Her Service too, this child bows again and again offering koti koti Pranams to All of the Great Ones, Who have incarnated upon this plane for the upliftment of the lowly, and the defense of Dharma. as ever your own self, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!! Guest guest
hare krishna no offence but i've never heard of your organisation..can we all calm down a little here please..no need for abuse of ISKCON in any sense of the word..all organisations have people attracted to them for the wrong reasons and often abuse occurs in many forms...not only in ISKCON..what about the catholic church as one example..your post reminded me of the playground..my dad is better than your dad mentality...we all have different paths to tread due to a complexity of karma, and our intelligence ect..my path happens to be ISKCON yours is different...so what....ISKCON has done and continues to do vital good works throughout the world on a daily basis...i can't comment on your organisation as i said i've never heard of you or it. can we not all celebrate our differences and learn from them instead of this childishness....after all..we have recently had the usa catasphrophe and the fallout from that will continue for aome time to come isn't it a prime example of time to stop this bickering and respect one anothers beliefs and by implication the organisations we belong to...including ISKCON... thanks stavavali p's the $400 million lawsuit for abuse has just been dropped... hare krishna
