Doctors now say the actress suffered a brain hemorrhage. Specifically, the 43-year-old actress suffered a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which is bleeding into the space between the brain and the middle membrane covering the brain, according to publicist Cindi Berger. Stone, who was admitted to the hospital on Saturday after complaining of head pain, was well enough to comment on her own health, saying, "I will be getting another angiogram on Friday." She added, proving, that her sense of humor is still intact, "That should be the final determination at which point every part of my anatomy will have been photographed in detail. At last the mysteries will be resolved." Stone's condition is slightly more common in men than women, and is thought to be caused by a rupture of a tiny low-pressure vein, according to The Associated Press. It usually does not require surgery. The actress said she has been treated with medication. "I've been very, very lucky," Stone told the San Francisco Chronicle, where her husband, Phil Bronstein, serves as executive editor.
