Guest guest
Dear List, >>>> At 12:44 AM 9/24/01 -0000, you wrote: > What does a person do with information like this? Freak out perhaps. I think you raise a good question about astrology generally and about gloomy stuff like this. One common answer is to prepare. How? Move to Montana and buy a year's supply of canned food? Or start praying every day. Or get busy working to avert war or if you're more a Mars person, then get busy fighting the war in order to ensure victory. But I guess you don't need astrology to tell you any of that. Which makes one wonder about the value of astrology... --------------------------- Namaste all. I live very near DC and the Dulles Airport. It seems those all over the world though are feeling very similarly to those living here. All the words of love and compassion have made a HUGE difference for all here and especially for those whose lives are so personally involved. I'm not sure I am able to relate exactly how much of a difference it has made - but it has been all the difference. Perhaps the complete doom and gloom comments, which are rare, could be written more sensitively so as not to frighten those with a tendency to be alarmed by it. But to point out these sensitive combinations is a part of Jyotish. It is helpful also to add the other side of the spectrum with it, as Wendy pointed out with the power of Yagyas which have always been a part of Jyotish. But my reason for writing is this: As people were everywhere last week, our family and most here were walking in a kind of shock and daze, and here, as we are nearer one of the attacks we were still meeting up with and coming into contact with people whose lives are suffering personally from the 11th. People that we hadn't seen or didn't know their lives would be so involved. I had postponed a Jyotish lesson on the week of the attack and it was postponed until last week instead. For me, during that lesson and following it was the real first change from the shock and the mourning and turning from the events to a real beginning to heal. The charts we studied were President Bush's, as you know as president of the country his can be used to represent the current chart for the US, and the WTC's chart for the actual event of the attack. So in this lesson our minds and hearts were still involved in the attacks but how different it all became. As it shows itself so clearly in the charts, I gained incredible comfort in knowing that it was so clearly there, still a part in the unfathomable hand of God. For me, Jyotish provided the way to begin to really heal. To see so clearly the hand of God present and so evident, there is peace and healing in just seeing this. As this list is for Jyotishi's, these comments will come out. We as individuals leaning and practicing Jyotish need a complete Jyotish perspective, and to continue to learn in ourselves in whatever area and study of Jyotish that needs strengthening in order to benefit fully by all comments and know which ones are mainly just ringing alarm. Robert's comment, ".. time, destiny and karma are all but fingers on the hand of God." This understanding is also a necessary part of learning and practicing Jyotish. All best regards, Patrice
Guest guest
Several Vedic texts say that the use of yagyas & gemstones (both powerful boni fied techniques in other yugas used by jyotishis) is not the most effective form of offering to counteract negative effects of maya in the jyotish chart during Kali Yuga. Prabhupad's translations specify that the "only way, the only way, the only way" & the EASIEST way is the Hare Krsna Mahamantra. It is a gift to the planet for these difficult times. So for whoever feels called....... Hare Krsna, Hare Krsna, Krsna, Krsna, Hare, HAre, Hare Rama, Hare, Rama, Rama, Rama, Hare, Hare.
