Hare Krishna,

 

I have been away from this elist for quite some time and after the

Attack On America I have felt so down and out that today I decided to

take a look. Thought I might get some solace here and while I did get

some, I was surprised to see us arguing amongst ourselves. Or talking

so much about politics when people died! Who cares about the stupid

politics or what govt is right and what one is wrong. We are all

devotees of either Krishna or Shiva and politics katha have nothing

to do with transcendence. Anyway, is anyone DOING anything that is so

much more right? I just sent in a donation to devotees in NYC who are

giving prasadm, counseling and so on tho those of the NY disaster. I

only sent in $5.00 cuz I am broke. But anything is better than

nothing. Rather than argue about whose govt is right or wrong, why

not help those in the middle? I dont have the addy on me now, but I

will look and post it tomorrow. Do with it as you wish.

 

(I do not mean to hurt anyones feelings, and after such an event

there will be strong feelilngs, but all the more reason to get back

in touch with veiwing things spiritually. We are all brothers or

sisters, regardless of what country we live in.)

Ok, here is the info I said I would send in -- the address. Matter of

fact, I think I will post the whole letter that found its way into my

email box. Maybe it will move your heart as much as it did mine.

in NYC was to get out on the streets, distribute hot prasadam and

provide encouragement and counseling to the people there. They have

been serving non stop since Tuesday afternoon aand are depleting

available funds.If you want to make a transcendental difference in

the struggle to fight demoniac mentality please send a check or

I know the devotee who sent this letter and know it is all legit. I

know who the swami is that's mentioned and know he is in NYC. I sent

in a donation myself, tho small, but I feel even a buck stuffed in an

envelope can buy some poor soul a drink! Sorry Goravani if this is

not exactly astrology but under the circumstances of the crisis I

hope you wont mind.(And no, its not skp but Emergency Relief help.)

All I can saY is that it made me feel better that I could actually DO

something more than complain. <s> Anyway, I'm not attached. Folks can

do with this information as the wish. Just wanted to share.
