policies of governments

A letter just written to the list asked “How many citizens of the US are

aware of the policies of the US Government”.

Two things strike me.

1. I would guess that the author of this statement is equally aware of his

or her own governments policies…yet, again, I find it fascinating how

everyone is so eager to single out one entity (as if it is any better or

worse). I would venture a guess to say that no one on this list is truly

aware of their government’s policies.

2. So much easier to blame others for everything then take personal

accountability. I said before this attack was on Freedom and peace

everywhere. It is also a reflection of the hatred inside of each of us (I

am talking about inside each of us personally, not inside of the governments

and multinational’s…but inside of each of us….and those who make up the

government’s and multinational’s)(a side note on my side note to those who

like to blame governments and multinationals for pretty much everything…it

is us that make up those governments and multinationals…hating or blaming

them is only hating and blaming yourself and your neighboor)

If you want to believe that the US is a piece of dog sh@# <sh@%23>

or the US government is…fine, I believe in your right (protected here in the

US) of Free Speech.

Mani, I cry because I am heartbroken for many reason’s. The one I want to

talk about now is because of the mirror it shined on our lives. The attack

that occurred on 9-11-01 was not on the “US” (I put the US in quotes because

the US and every “country” is as artificial to the universe as the country

you spoke about earlier in the week)…it was mirror provided to every being

on the planet showing us how far we have come…or not.

I cry because it is a reflection of each of us. A reflection of how much

hate all of us still hold. A reflection of how much anger everyone still

has…a reflection that while enlightenment for the planet is coming…it may

not be tomorrow.

To make it more personal, I cry cuz of the hate I still carry. The anger I

still carry. How far I am from enlightenment.

I still have a lot of work to do. Most messages on this list has shown we

all have a lot of work to do.

Fate or not, I am a being with God given emotions and a heart, and mine

breaks at the senseless killing Billions of people do everyday (including

myself) with guns, knives, thoughts or looks………at the senseless hatred

almost everyone in the world (including myself) holds deep in their beings.

Look deep in your heart and feel the hatred…feel the anger…if you plan on

being enlightened, it is one of the many things to be felt

Here U go.

Who created Bin Laden?

FBI and CIA trained him.

What is the role of US in Kashmir.

US used Pak as puppet in Afganistan. Mean time Pak turned 75% of

resources to Kashmiri Terrorists. US did not bother. What is the

ultimate role of US. It wants to see Kashmir as Independent Country.

So that It can establish a army base on the mountains. So that It can

control the upcoming super powers INDIA and China. It wants BIG

respect and free oil et al.. The list is countably *infinite*.

Still, I feel sad about the attacks on WTC. It is the attack on the

world. But I am asking to *STOP* double faced role. See the kids of

Iraq. ( dont blame Saddam here). Just distinguish People from

Politics. My friend lost a cousin and friend in Belgrade. I lost my

classmate in WTC.

How many of us are worried abt the innocents killed by NATO.

Peace brotha!

Regards, Venkat

Amen. Never surrender control to politicians. Never forsake your

country's interest or forget that eternal vigilance is the price of freedom

It's beautiful that what has happened has allowed you and many to look

deeper for the why.

I so honor and respect all of those who have given their lives that all of

us can look to these deeper issues of hate... including Self-hate... the

ways in which we think about and treat our own sweet Self, and the ways we

try to inflate the ego, to be right, to please, the deception, using others

in a myriads of ways to not feel our deepest fear, terror, rage, and many

times this is disguised with loving others...all of this is so often

drenched with repressed self-hatred. After all, is it not all deplorable? I

believe that when we are willing to feel this one whenever it comes up or

the impulse to cover it or act out and allow it to burn then there will be

no need to project it outwardly and the Truth will be revealed.

Sincerely,

Theresa

What you wrote is correct but where will you find a straight faced

politician. it is an irony that no politician, especially in power, can speak

the truth and live to rule. American Constitution gaurantees freedom of

speech. Many may not agree but the recent events, in which we have all

suffered, has shown that don't be too sure.As a non-white you could be looked

upon as some one responsible for the recent tragedy.

Efforts by the government, especially our New York Mayor Guliani, not to

tolerate these kinds of act have not given any confidence to the ethnics.

There is talk at national level to checklist seperately passengers boarding

flights with different

ethnicity. The Attorney-General Ashcroft has denied that it will be done but

it is again the talk of a politician.Belonging to ethnic Indian group of

Sikhs we have already felt the brunt of some local whites for whom turban of

a Sikh is the same as that of Bin Laden and other Arabs!! We are being

targeted along with Muslims. Despite assurances from Govt., incidents have

been down played by the media bacause the newspapers and TV stations are

controlled vastly by a single group of people and the authourities cannot go

against that one minority group which controls majority of US wealth. With

local New York elections in process and some ethnics in the fray,it is being

looked upon as another way to let them know that you may be an American

Citizen and have constitutional rights but don't think of being a

law-maker.Or why hasn't a Blackman ever become an American President ? Some

may say that they have never tried ! But noone will tell that the process is

so cumbersome that those who tried were shelved out in initial stages or

faced the barrel of a gun!!

BUT LET ME SAY THAT DESPITE EVERYTHING 90% AMERICAN WHITE ARE THE BEST !! 10

% COMPRISES MOSTLY OF POLITICIANS WHOSE TONE WILL CHANGE ACCORDING TO

CIRCUMSTANCES.

Love and Peace

Kirpall Singh.
