Guest guest
Dear Kuttikkat. You'll find that Parasara didn't tell us to use the aspects in the Rasi Chart either. Actually he didn't say where to use these aspects, other than in charts. I use both Rasi and Graha Dristi(discriminately) in all charts, as i've been taught. And the dictums of Parasara work quite well in this regard. Best wishes, Visti. Get email alerts & NEW webcam video instant messaging with Messenger http://im. Guest guest
Dear Visti: Thank you for responding. Quite right, Parasara did not tell where to use aspects. Coming to think of it he did not even tell to use it in charts, did he? But he did tell that strength of planets is an important attribute to use in prediction. So to me an aspect whose strength cannot be evaluated can only be used with some reservation. Is that what you meant when you said that you use it discriminatively? It will help to know on what basis you discriminate the two aspects. Regarding your comment the way you use aspects works well for you, I am a believer in the saying whatever works best for one is the best method for that person. All the more power to you if both aspects works identically to you. Remember Mr. Karve whom Das Goravani introduced? What relevance is amsa chart or aspects to Karve? All that counts is what actually works. regards, - Visti Larsen gjlist 9/1/2001 5:34:14 AM Re: [gjlist] Can we justify aspects in varga charts of Vedic Astrology? Dear Kuttikkat. When i discriminate between aspects; i Mean by Graha(Planetary/Object) and Rasi(Sign) Dristi(View). Both were taught by Parasara, but the latter seems to be left out by traditional astrologers. > Is that what you > meant when you said that you use > it discriminatively? It will help to know on what > basis you discriminate the two > aspects. A planets view(Graha Dristi) is based on its own desires, not its circumstance(sign), so i consider this type of aspect as a sign of will of the native or others. Whether this will is fructified depends on the circumstances. I similarly consider the Dharma Trikonas in each varga to see the persons intent in the certain area of life. Rasi Dristi(Sign View), is based on circumstances, which may be provoked by no other will than the allmighty.. I use this alot in Medical Assesment. > Regarding your comment the way you use aspects works > well for you, I > am a believer in the saying whatever works best for > one is the best method for > that person. This should be our goal as astrologers, but surely must come with perfection. Does anyone have his horoscope? In the meantime, i'll just stick to the teachings of Maharishis, and meditate alot.
