Guest guest
Dear Wendy thanks for the data . So for back pain you look at afflictions to the 6th house,6th Lord ,Jupiter and Virgo (plus I guess Mercury as Virgo's Lord) which you take to be karakas for a region circling the navel and thus including the lower back . I have also heard that afflictions to Capricorn cause back problems (I'm not sure of the reasoning for this If anyone knowes please Drop the list a note) which in your sister's case could also be true since Jupiter is functional malefic debilitated in that sign .Saturn's close aspect to the combust Mercury and the Sun (general karaka ) for the body is another indication . There are certainly sufficient astrological indications for back ache .I'd be interested to hear from anyone else who may have done astrological research on back ache . Thanks Nicholas BTW The ad was for a weight loss program Capricorn's often have big appetites and Jupiter is an expansive planet sitting in the 1st . > Dear Nicholas, > > Just very briefly (sorry) mind weary today > > My sister born Oct. 11 1938 (13.32) Melbourne, Australia (Capricorn rising), has Jupiter fallen in lagna and according to my literature Jupiter represents liver, ears, naval, hips, etc...whilst 6th house (and Virgo) represent region of naval, hips (back, waist, small intestine), etc...6th lord Mercury although in own sign in 9th is combust 8th lord Sun and is aspected by afflicted Jupiter. Both Mercury and Sun are in nakshatra of Mars who is in the 8th house of chronic illness. > > Note also exchange of signs between lagnesh Saturn and Saturn's dispositor Jupiter, and the 8th aspect of Mars. Both Saturn and Mars can inflict pain. > > Rgds, Wendy > > BTW I didn't notice the advert, what was it ? >
Guest guest
Dear Nicholas, I think (as you said) these are the basics to look for in a chart...also in the chart I put forward (sister) it's relevant to note this is a chronic condition and that she's had surgical intervention...note; Jupiter is in nakshatra of Mars who occupies 8th house. It's obvious, looking at this chart, that she has a kapha imbalance (excess) with (kapha planet) Jupiter fallen in Ascendant whilst Asc. L Saturn is in (kapha sign) Pisces. I think it's as important to consider the prikriti/vrikriti as it is to consider the bhava/graha physiology...like a jigsaw puzzle they should all fit together. For instance an imbalance of Avalambaka kapha (sub-dosha) is linked to respiratory problems (such as asthma), lethargy, and lower back pains. Type 2 diabetes is also a typical consequence of excess kapha, due to slow metabolism, overweight, lethargy, etc... Naturally enough my sister suffers from all of these imbalances...asthma, diabetes, lower back pain, etc. I (personally) think it's vital to have (at least) a basic understanding of the doshas and to be able to determine the prikriti (constitutional body type). This should be a basic skill. Rgds, Wendy You Wrote: >>Dear Wendy thanks for the data .
