All has just happen. So, here are the datas of 4 famous people, one of them was deaf, one was nearly completely blind, one was blind and deaf and one had no problems with hearing and seing, so far as I am informed. Until now I would also agree that in cases of deafness jupiter must be afflicted and connected with the ascendant in some way. But hence jupiter indicates luck, there will be an affliction in many other cases of disease too. The question for me is now: how can we see deafness? Perhaps this is - among special houses, degrees and so on- also a thing of the afflicting planets. Could it be saturn for example, to cause deafness and the sun - as a light - to indicate blindness? - among others of course. The parents are simple persons and the two sisters have some difficulties at school. Nevertheless I would say that Susan is outstanding in some way, may be it`s a question of teachers and education that her life is somehow restricted. As I said earlier, Susan is very energetic. Guest guest Posted August 27, 2001 Report Share Posted August 27, 2001 Dear Ilona, Visti et al, Manoj made a valid point regarding the additional physiology/disease attributed to Jupiter...of course, common sense dictates that one not consider Jupiter in isolation (as said in earlier post)...just as one doesn't consider Jupiter's role as significator of children without also considering 5th house and it's lord, or his role as significator of wealth without also considering 2nd house and it's lord, or his role as significator of religion without also considering 9th house and it's lord...this goes without saying!! So in regards to physiology/disease the list would (IMHO) be something like this: liver/gallbladder/spleen/naval/kidney: 5th house / 5th lord / Jupiter ears/physical development: 1st (2/3 ears ?) house / lord / Jupiter back/waist: 6th house / 6th lord / Jupiter palate/throat: 2nd house / 2nd lord / Jupiter Consideration of prikriti/vrikriti is also an important element..ear problems (mucous, etc) is more common in children than in adults...this is often the result of excess kapha...Jupiter is a kapha planet and kapha is strongest during childhood. In regards to the timing of 1948 native's deafness (L.ear) the closest I can ascertain is aprox. 2mths after 21st b'day. But the memory of this date is unreliable...could have been this, could have been that, is about as positive as this native gets. He was in prison at the time of 21st birthday and still there when mastoid burst (about 2mths later, he thinks). He was treated in prison hospital. BTW he's not the negative criminal type...he stole a motorbike and went in hot pursuit (illegally crossing the South African border) of the object of his love and affection. He was caught (without passport etc) and sentenced to a prison term. He and his lady love did eventually get married but it ended in divorce. Guest guest Posted August 27, 2001 Report Share Posted August 27, 2001 Dear IIona, Wendy, Visti and All, Kind of an interesting look at my father in law's chart right now with this respect to Jupiter and hearing. He's having a terrible time with one ear in particular for the past few months. And previously he had suffered loss of hearing due to his time flying planes in WWII in both ears. Currently though, he went into the hospital emergency room for something not related to his ears, and he commented on his ear feeling uncomfortable. The nurse in an effort to help him, 'scraped' his ear or something like this, was too rough, and this instead has caused many problems since in this ear, and loss of hearing temporarily. But still this complete loss has been consistent now for a few months. All through his Jupiter/Rahu/Jupiter, if not even beginning in Jupiter/Rahu/Rahu (I will try to find out the exact date and definitely ask which ear is the one suffering complete deafness currently). He also just received new hearing aids during this time. (Of course with the one ear he isn't able to use the new aid yet.) His dasas currently are Jupiter/Rahu. His Rashi Lagna is Sag, with Jupiter in the 6th house in Taurus. Rahu is also located in Lagna. Venus is in his 11th house in Libra. With Sag Lagna, 2nd and 3rd house are both Saturn ruled, and Saturn sits in his 8th house with debilitated Mars in Cancer.
