Guest guest
Dear Wendy. I can understand the affiliation of Jupiter with hearing, but i have Jupiter in 12th joined with 8th lord mercury, which is surely a stronger affliction than our born-deaf girl. I was born; 21st Nov 1981, 6:21 AM Nairobi, Kenya(+3 East), (36e49;1s17). Heres also another chart; Female(Lisa) March 2nd 1981 8:11 PM (+5 West), (75w54;41n31). Jupiter is addlicted by Saturn in Virgo Lagna and recieves Graha Dristi from Mars in the 6th house, which is 8th lord. No hearing problems at all. Neither did princess Diana; July 1st 1961 7:35 AM (+1 East) (0e30;52n50). Actually i see the jupiterian affliction in many charts. Now before anyone brands me as anarchistic, i'd like to note that i'm also studying these charts for answers. Best wishes, Visti.
Guest guest
Dear Visti, I think in each of the cases I cited, Jupiter is either in lagna, aspecting lagna or lagnesh, or Jupiter's nakshatra lord (often Saturn) is afflicting same...the connection with physical body (self) is there. In Diana's horoscope Jupiter in 3rd is not connected with lagna or lagnesh. Also of course many with this predisposition towards ear troubles have no problems whatsoever until the appropriate dasa, which may not mature until later in life. One chart I put up, the native had perfect hearing until Jupiter bhukti in Mercury dasa was operative (21 yrs). So if we were to have suggested ear troubles to him before then he could have said "You're wrong, I don't have ear problems". I'm not for one moment saying that this predisposition will always result in hearing difficulties, but certainly afflicted Jupiter is present in all the charts I've looked at so far. I'd like to see a chart of a native (with hearing problems) who doesn't have this indication. Another important consideration of course is the condition of Jupiter in Shashtamsa (D-6). Note in Susan's D-6 chart Sagittarius rises with Jupiter in 12th (Dusthana). Also consider the dasa period running at the time of her birth. I also think we can't look at Jupiter in isolation...2nd or 3rd house must also be considered...but, as I'm now questioning that, I've concentrated solely on the influence of Jupiter. Your friend does seem to have a lot of the factors present both in Rashi and D-6 so the probability is there in the appropriate dasa...please note I am only debating the probability factor here and not giving a prediction, it would therefore be inappropriate to tell her this...this is research only, not a chart reading. There may be some vital element that is being missed here...Saturn is the delaying planet and perhaps his close conjunction with Jupiter (both at 14 degrees) may delay the things associated with Jupiter... Saturn's age of maturity is 36 and it is from this age that his true malevolence is felt, and your friend comes under Jupiter dasa at 37...only surmising here Visti so please don't pass this on as a prediction. Guest guest
Dear Wendy, Thank you for your reply: based on what you wrote, I assume that strength of Jupiter in own sign, in 9th, aspecting Lagna and lagnesh is "responsible" for the fact that problem is really mild, unnoticeable, registered only by sensitive measurement tool- I also assume that Jupiter dasha wouldn't have been that "benevolent" in this respect. The postulate you based your interpretation upon, that I fully agree with, raises another issue(s): 1) Jupiter being in nakashtra of Saturn, aspected by it- if I had a yellow sapphire, "theoretically" seems it wouldn't be beneficial, strengthening Saturn, instead od Jupiter? 2) Following the same path, my deb Moon, Lagna lord, (in Moon's dasha) is in nakashtra of Mercury (which is in 6th)- and pearls would "add" strength to Mercury, right? (I haven't felt much positive results from pearls, but am reluctant to take them off- haven't had convincing feeling that they do anything "bad" either- maybe it would be the same without "crutches", maybe better: it's hard to say. You say that gem effect should be felt strongly- god or bad- so, I am wondering what's your opinion of this particular case.. (I resist the temptation to experiment with this, so trying (and harmful) this tr. and dosha, both, are to me.. too much, already) Thanks Wendy, Anna - Wendy Vasicek gjlist Saturday, August 25, 2001 5:59 PM Re: [gjlist] Jupiter and hearing ( Medical Quiz-Deafness) Dear Visti, I think in each of the cases I cited, Jupiter is either in lagna, aspecting lagna or lagnesh, or Jupiter's nakshatra lord (often Saturn) is afflicting same...the connection with physical body (self) is there. Guest guest
Namaste Wendy. Heres more to strenghten your point about Jupiter. The Akash Tattwa(Ether) rules hearing and sensing audic-signals, which is ruled by Jupiter. So your on the right track with jupiter. I was also looking at the Kauluka(D-6) yesterday, and do see the relevance. But we need more charts of people who are completely deaf, or we really are only guessing. Heres some food for thought. Jaimini states that ailments rising from Birth, should be indicated by the Pitri or Matri Chara Karaka in the first 6 signs from the Deha(Lagna or Sun). Sun or Lagna lord in the 8th shows weak health and body, due to undeveloped limbs, etc. If in the visible signs(7th-12th) then the ailments rise after birth. How to see which body parts hasn't been indicated. The 11th house is the 9th from the 3rd house, and hence shows the protection of the ears(3rd). When going into detail with the various drekkanas both Parasara and Jaimini seem to agree on using 3rd & 11th for right and left ears respectively. So the focus for general hearing ailment should be the 3rd house, and then observe any problems in the 11th. Music is seen from the 11th house, no doubt if ones exposed to loud death-metal music against their will, then we can expect some papakartari Yoga on the 9th by Saturn and/or Mars. I would expect that someone with Ketu in 3rd wouldn't like music at all, or would like ambient music. Mixed planets indicate mixed tastes. This is what i've been taught. Well please those who ahve charts do give them.. or this discussion will just fade away.
