Guest guest
Hello Stark! Besides the lessons at <www.goravani.com> you can also download a book at the following URL: http://www.geocities.com/clarity2020/jyotish.htm Are you familiar with Western Astrology, or are new to Astrology completely? A while ago, Das and a few others compiled a list of Western to Vedic translations. I'll have to dig it up and then send it to you. Good luck to you. Best wishes, Nitin. Guest guest
Thank you pointing these out to me. There's enough information there to keep me very busy for a long while. I somehow missed seeing the link to the lessons earlier. I have downloaded the book also and hope to get to it this weekend. My mother was a part-time astrologer, and also a self- described 'Unitarian leaning toward Hinduism', so as I grew up I became somewhat familiar with Hindu mythology and customs. I was taught yoga as a child, and have done mantra japa since I was in grade school. I am familiar with Western Astrology and am delving into the asteroids, centaurs, and trying to get a grip on Uranian astrology also. I tend to focus more on one or the other at any given time, sort of on a rotating basis. I go with whatever I am drawn to at a given time, using intuition, and have found this leads to incredible timing where I discover something that I need to know/understand at that time. And now seems to be the time to get a grip on Vedic astrology. It is helping to bring me back to some of my spiritual practices that have fallen by the wayside during the last few years while I've been undergoing great upheaval in my outer life. Perhaps if you find the list of translations it could be placed in the File section of the group here on as a reference for any newcomers. Many thanks Stark gjlist, "Astro Nitin" <astro@j...> wrote: > Hello Stark! > > Besides the lessons at <www.goravani.com> you can also download a book at the following URL: > > http://www.geocities.com/clarity2020/jyotish.htm > > Are you familiar with Western Astrology, or are new to Astrology completely?
