below I give you the data of a young girl, suffering from a special disease

since her birth. Please try to find out her trouble and give your diagnosis

on the list. Perhaps anyone of you could also see some circumstances around

her birth. Be frank, all your inputs will improve our astrological

knowledge.

I´ll give you the correct result next weekend and would afterwards invite

you to discuss together all the points leading to the right diagnosis.

Dear Ilona,

 

I've hesitated to even look at this chart as medical astrology is very demanding

in both time and expertise. Discussing particular charts or astrological

techniques is entirely different to taking part in a quiz, which I doubt many

astrologers have time for.

 

I have however taken a quick peek (out of curiosity) and, as would be obvious

even to a beginner, the birth experience would have been difficult (and

dangerous) for both the native and the mother. Early loss of mother is a

possibility...I would also hazard a guess that, due to a difficult delivery, the

native may suffer cerebral palsy or some other neurological dysfunction. Quite

honestly this is just a guess, there are so many influences on the Ascendant,

and without the advantage (that you have) of at least seeing or speaking to the

native, a guess is all I can offer.

 

I'm sure you had the native's medical condition explained to you before you

looked at the chart...and like they say, with hindsight we all have 20/20 vision

:-)

 

When you have the time I'd be interested to know the correct answer.

Dear Wendy,

many thanks for your beginning with this quiz. Of course you are right, I

have the advantage to know already Susan`s disease. But be sure, I will

always give only those cases on the list, which may demonstrate a good

background and will present very good examples to a special theme.

Also I must say: you are not so bad and your thoughts are going the right

way. I will wait until the following weekend - perhaps there is somebody

else who is courageous enough to share his view with us- then I´ll give you

the answer. Meanwhile I am very glad to have your resonance . The list is

still alive!

Glad you decided to take a look Anand, I somehow entered 9.15 PM (21.15) and was

looking at Sagittarius rising. Looking at the data again it would seem I've made

a mistake with the time which should be 19.15, giving Scorpio rising.

 

In which case you can totally disregard my previous post Ilana.

Wide range of possibilities comes to one's mind- I'll stick to my first

impression- medical astrology requires lots of work and expertise, indeed, as

Wendy emphasized already.

 

- Birth trauma is visible, started before actual birth, I'd say- trauma casing

the (premature?) birth likely- "drawing", aenestethic drugs, along with a

shock (revitalizing?). Very unusual start of life, indeed.

 

- Asphyction on birth most likely- didn't take a breath upon birth (consequences

may vary a lot: from partial ones, visible very soon, to those subtler, not less

problematic though: on personality level)

 

- here it maybe Problems with energy-electricity flow, electrical "blocks" and

"discharges" on synapsy- level in CNS (seems like "epilepsy-nocturnal", with

loss of "consciousness" while asleep-with following common symptoms: sfingters'

uncontrolled, insensitivity to noise..etc. /If this is even slightly close

guess, I would like to hear from IIlona how she treats this. Some "modern" drugs

do have positive effect, without "curing" the condition..)

 

In addition, Illona said it was a rare disease: Don't know if one I "picked" is

that rare. Let "quiz" go on.

Dear Listmenmbers,

Ascendant, using Houck ayanamsha is scorpio 10° 49.

Sususans disease is not rare in the sense of seldom, but very special (

clear, if we have the clue...) in the sense of diagnosis. My school english

is perhaps sometimes a bit misleading, therefore you might have got a wrong

impression. I´m always trying to improve it.

Dear Jyotisha!

 

I am trying to attempt this. I might go awry, any feedback is higly welcome....

 

We might very well see that ketu in the Lagna can make the native sickly or a

weak health. The Rasi aspect and also the Planetary aspect of three more

malefics, Rahu, Mars and Sun on the Lagna, intensify the affliction to the

Lagna. The lord of protection (9th house) is also afflicted and eclipsed by Mars

and Rahu respectively, rendering it very weak. Moreover, there is a very

powerful Sarpa Yoga in the Horoscope as the kendra is occupied by Dire malefics.

However, it is brocken as Moon is in the Lagna. Moon as a benefic in the Lagna

break the Sarpa yoga and hence the saving grace. However, Moon is the Rogesha

too!!!

 

Saturn a dire malefic for the Sagittarius Asdt. is Staring (Graha Drishti) on

the Lagna, increasing the maleficence of the combinations. Saturn is exalted too

to intensify the problem more.

 

So what are the diseases.

1. Rahu's aspect on the Lagna might caused Asthma problem.

 

2. The Concentration of the evil on the lagna might have caused some head

related problems, Ketu's presence might make it undiagnosable. Moon, Sun, Mars

affliction might show some problem related to fluid in the brain or erractic

transmission of nerve (mercury) impulses(fire of Sun and Mars) (Malefics

aspecting lagna are there in gemini- Mercury- Karaka for Nerves).

 

3. The paka Lagna and karaka for Dhi-Shakti- Jupiter is retrograde in the 12th

placed with Mandi and aspected by Badhaka Mercury from 6th (another house of

Roga, disease). This might show lack of mental strength for recovery. Affliction

to Jupiter also might show epileptic fits.

 

The first Shoola is that of Gemini, the badhaka house for Sagittarius. The

presence of Mars there with aspect from Moon from Sagittarius caused a powerful

rudra Yoga which might have given Death like suffering (I wonder, how the native

passes through the period, This can only happen when the Atmakaraka is saving

the native, here atmakaraka is Rahu placed in Gemini).

 

The next shoola which might have ended on June25, 2001, was no better as Malefic

(both functional as well as Natural) Saturn aspects (Graha and Rasi both) that

same with 6th lord Venus placed there. Mercury, the Badhakesh also aspecting the

same. The native might be having problem related to chest as Cancer is the

natural area of chest. The problem could be in the cell-generative system of the

lungs.

 

The current shoola Dasa starting from June 26, 2001 might be less worse as only

Saturn aspect the sign, however with the Rasi drishti only, which is not so

potent. But, Saturn, as a dire malefic to the lagna, its aspect, might not give

full freedom from here diseases until some remedial measures are taken.

I really admire your interest in Medical Astrology and Children especially.

 

Heres my small attempt at the chart.

 

Date of Birth: June 25, 1983

Time of Birth: 7:15:00 pm

Time Zone of Birth: 2:00 East of GMT

Longitude of Birth: 7 E 43

Latitude of Birth: 50 N 06

 

The Lagna Lord moves to the 8th house with Sun and Chara Atmakaraka Rahu(8K).

This is a sure combination for someone born sickly, and much distress to life at

birth. She may have been put directly into the incubators.

 

Moon in 2nd joined with Ketu could have given premature birth, maybe a few weeks

early.

 

Counting from Moon to Lagna, there were 7 people in the delivery room(aside from

mother and child) whilst two left before/during delivery(jup and Sat).

 

Due to the aspect of Rahu, Mars and Sun on Moon who is with Ketu, the mother may

have died shortly after birth.. As Moon doensn't aspect Lagna and Sun is in the

8th, the Father may not have been in the delivery room.

 

Now..

For Chronic disease we usually see the Chara Atmakaraka ill placed in Navamsa.

This is not the case with Rahu in Navamsa lagna.

 

Gulika and Mandi are both in the 8th house with Sun, Mars and Rahu.

Mars is lagna lord, indicating the way a person manifests in the world. Being

Combust my Sun; gives low stamina, and weak constitution. By Rahu(dire enemy of

Mars), can give inhibitions due to Virus's. Same goes for Gulika and Mandi that

shows poisoning.

 

Mars is in own Navamsa joined with Saturn so Mars seems to be the focal point.

As Mars rules Marrow, it can show fragile bones.

In Trimsamsa Mars is also very badly afflicted but in own house, so It seems

that Mars has invited some criminals over for breakfast, and is in the midst of

a big fight. The result is Mars being beaten up in the protection of its own

home, and is now struggling to walk again.

 

The exact disease i can't say for sure however, but i'm sure the lack of

Bone-marrow could be indicated, or the disease of the same.

Hi Ilona et al,

 

Having just drawn up the chart with correct time (this time)... one quick

observation for now...will take a closer look tomorrow if time and energy permit

:-)

 

For now, Ascendant lord Mars and Sun afflicted by Rahu in 8th and aspecting

(afflicting) 2nd house, whilst 2nd lord Jupiter is aspected by functional

malefic Mercury, would suggest problems with eyesight...perhaps blindness from

birth.

 

(just a quick first impression, hopefully I'll have more time to spend on it

tomorrow)
