May I ask you exactly which bija mantra for Bhraspati you chanted? There seems to be a large number of mantras and variations thereof to choose from. Also, how many times did you you chant? >The emerald was prescribed for budha being closely hemmed by ketu and kuja >in the 5th. > >I then went through the steps of acquiring an emerald from a gemmologist >recommended by the jyotiSi. That's the one saving grace of this whole "business" end of jyotish. Your case is interesting because it goes against the conventional wisdom of strengthening weak planets. Of course, there is another popular view that says to only strengthen strong planets. I honestly don't know which school of thought I favour. Perhaps your reaction was really an anomaly, or perhaps it is solid evidence for the latter view. I guess we all should pay more attention to this and form our own opinions over time. Thanks so much for letting us in on your experience. Perhaps you should try a Rahu, Saturn or Jupiter gem next, since those planets seem to be in better shape in your horoscope. Guest guest
I'm not familiar with nine stone bracelets. Oh, yeah, they are a sort of all purpose thing. Yes, I've seen photos of them. Well, there's no harm in trying them as long as they'll refund your money if you're not happy. As for balance, who knows? Maybe somebody has some experience with them. Also you might try a gem for your Sun since it's lagnesh in the 4th unafflicted. It also picks up a near exact degree conjunction with navamsha Jupiter. Very nice.
