It may seem like 'fluff' and a bunch of bull (excuse me) but I assure you it is not. If one can go along with the idea of natural foods, vitamin supplements, wearing natural stones, chanting until one's brain turns to mush <grin> then one MIGHT see the value of herbal and floral 'essences'...the essence of a plant, its vibration and how it might positively affect a person. We even have 'tone' and 'color' therapy in this world as well as AROMAtherapy...so why wouldn't floral therapy/herbal therapy be any less valid? Try it for at least six months before you decide it doesn't work for you. There are many paths to 'whatever'...God, enlightenment, better health, balance...etc. Who am I to decided what is 'valid' and what isn't? One man's meat is another man's poison I guess. Guest guest
Dear Das, Curtis, Visvanathan, Wendy, Renee, and Dear All, I have again been away for a bit, and have just come back to many messages on here. On many of the more recent ones, a book I've recently read, and also just purchased for my daughter with an infant and child, keeps coming to mind. Bach Flower Remedies is probably something many are familiar with, but may not have used. I have four children, all but one into their adult lives now. Since discovering the Bach Flower Remedies and studying them, I have used them on myself and family (as well as pets). My last two children benefited with them from their youngest ages. I write this only to say, in my experience, they work so remarkably well. They are quite amazing actually, and the whole philosophy and thought behind them. The hardest part is sometimes to remember to look into them when things get chaotic and difficult, depressed or sad, but they work. Children and pets results are pretty immediate (meaning within a couple of minutes) due to their openness and sensitivity to the divine nature in things. Also, as a group here, there is perhaps more openness and sensitivity to the divine, as well as better diets, which also contributes to the effectiveness of anything working on more subtle levels. And I think many on this list would see results quickly if you felt to give them a try. In my experience, men haven't been as exposed to these remedies as they are often not the main caregiver or perhaps not interacting as much with other caregivers that can share their experiences with what works. So, they haven't been exposed to seeing this in action themselves, or then to think of it for their own use. This recent book on this subject, and I find it wonderful is: "Bach Flower Remedies for Children - A Parent's Guide," by Barbara Mazzarella. After having read many Bach Remedy books over the years, I think this one is excellent for applying to ourselves as adults as well. Also, when reading the different remedies childhood personalities, it's inte resting to relate back into your own childhood, or children, via the great way this woman writes with compassion and a holism. And then to see from this grown perspective the different traits you or your children were working through with such a more whole and kind eye. And any leanings of those traits still in us in adulthood, but now with the ability to administer to them. Her descriptions give a great perspective on the remedies for administering which ones to use. I have other good titles to share if anyone is interested. Bach Remedy books are usually in 'health food stores' (kind of interesting - as opposed to what?) as well as book stores and the library. My love and appreciation for these remedies, inspires me on how to follow the idea from the flower into the planets for prescribing via Jyotish as well. That would be fantastic. The 'Rescue Remedy' is so effective, I tried for years to get my children's local schools to have it. In my experience, it ALWAYS works, even in very, very serious situations for both adults and children. I hope this can help with all the pain going on. The story of Doctor Bach is quite remarkable in and of itself, and how he developed these remedies with his sensitive nature. Our sensitivities are our blessing. Briefly: Dr. Edward Bach was born in 1886. He was originally trained as an immunologist, receiving his degree in 1912. He later became a homeopath and discovered the "nososdes" that are used in homeopathic medicine still to this day. He later abandoned a thriving practice and brilliant career, threw out all his precedent research, and left England for Wales, where he lived in his grandparent's cottage and completed this amazing research and work.
