Solar Fire is pretty dependable and their atlas shows this city in PA as being 79 W 31' 20" while you are using 70 W 31. When I changed it to 70 .....THEN a Cancer lagna popped up so just letting you know that this happened. Renee
Guest guest
Atlas: Nearly all programs use the ACS atlas. GJ uses their latest version. Big cities can have various settings. Use the Atlas's smart- in my program that means type the first few letters only, to get a list... like... For Manhattan, type Man NY USA and get a list (that example not guaranteed- just an example) I know that some cities in New York, the big ones, have a few listing in the atlas, and the pop up list will give their counties etc., which are sometimes different. I know in India there are sometimes the same names, like the other day I went through this with one user for some city like "Patnam", and by typing "Pat" we got them all. So sometimes it's best to use your atlas a bit more fully than you might normally do. This is Jyotish, it's important to remain scientific, investigative, and careful. This is a science, definitely, especially at the level of the calculations. We need to be as close as possible to Date, time, long, lat, So that the ascendent can be correct. It's touchy. Choose wisely. And use the force Luke!
