In an earlier email, you advised to chant every day. However, the pga site

Sun's on Sunday, etc. If one is attempting to remediate one planet in

particular (say it's afflicted, and its dasha is running), can/should you

chant its names everyday rather than on ITS day?

This confuses me too. I would love to know what the right way is.

Hey Das:

One of the things I'm not clear on is the appropriate days for chanting.

In an earlier email, you advised to chant every day. However, the pga site

and other sources too, suggest to chant Saturn's 108 names on Saturday, the

Sun's on Sunday, etc. If one is attempting to remediate one planet in

particular (say it's afflicted, and its dasha is running), can/should you

chant its names everyday rather than on ITS day?

Personally, I don't chant, as I did it for years, Hare Krishna, and I'm

a bit dis-en-chanted. I'm kidding.

The days of the week thing: I really doubt the Gods care when we chant.

Our souls like it all the time, our bodies always need the vibrations,

our minds the solace.

I personally think the power is in the act of doing it, and the hearing

of the clear Sanskrit, pronounced close to how it's supposed to sound.

Doing it

Hearing it

That's the power. It's in the act, and the hearing. It gives the mind on

a base level a type of food. That's the power. It's a fortune to just be

able to actually do it, anytime, anywhere, those things are not

important. Doing it. Just do it.

I put the Sanskrit sound files on my CD for the Sanskrit clueless. If

someone learns those things, then they can pronounce anything. It's not

hard to pronounce Sanskrit. You just need to hear some of it, then

you're on your way, but I think it would not be good to say it ALL

wrong, but rather, somewhat close to correct I feel is good enough.

Those who stress TOTAL Sanskrit accuracy are condemning nearly all

Westerners to never doing it at all.

I don't think personally the days of the week are that important, but I

know, it's a big part of the usual plan. I'm a bhakti renegade against

strict Hindu stuff; we say, it's the intent that counts most, and then

also, it's the meer act of actually doing it that counts, the sincerity,

and the benefits of just doing it, the vibrations, and so on.

Where can I get info on your CD? I think the 'Gods' are smart enough to know

what a soul is intending to 'say' to them. Way to go on being a bhakti

renegade <laugh>.

Clueless in California....
