In Solar Fire using the Lahiri system, I show you at 27 Gemini Lagna with

Moon at 25 Gemini and Sun/Merc in the 2nd house in Cancer. Sun at 00 Cancer

and Merc at

24 Cancer. Just to let you know...

I can't quite relate to my Western chart either which places me as a double

Gemini (Sun/Moon). I relate to my vedic much more and it explains why

certain things have happened to me all my life (tendencies/experiences) where

the Western hasn't quite done that. Wish I'd gotten involved studying Vedic

first. It's hard being a student of vedic when your mind has been 'set' in

learning a western chart, ya know?

Hello Everyone,

I am new to Vedic Astrology and this list. I have 2 charts, both say they are

accurate and accounted for daylight savings. In one my Asc. is Cancer, the other

Gemini and many of the houses are moved. Which is correct? I was born 7/16/58 at

5:52 am in Kittanning, PA. The second concern is every placement is within 5% of

the cusp. What does that mean and how does it affect me?

When I studied Western astrology, I never stuck with it because I never felt it

reflected who I was. I couldn't relate to my own readings. In Western I was a

triple Cancer.

Carol:

The program I have (SJS which uses the ACS atlas) has your Ascendant at

27Ge34. I would think it's likely correct. I can't explain why some

programs would give you Cancer.

As for planets near the equal house cusps (ie near 27* of a sign), I'm not

aware of any inherent meaning there. I would say, though, that when

analyzing each planets strength and significance, that house placement may

be more emphasized that it otherwise would be. So for example, Jupiter is

close to the 4th cusp, so might mean more Jupiter-like effects on 4th house

matters -- good for happiness and property in a general sense. Of course,

the equal cusps are only one out of several house systems possible. Sri

pati is also worth noting.

Dear carol

I get the same results as renee, below, in my program, which puts the moon

with the lagna, and ruler of the first in the second. there was a long

discussion on the list on significations of beauty and you have two. :)

you are currently in mercury/saturn dasa

Thanks Everyone for your in put and help. Gemini it is. I'm still totally

overwhelmed but the Vedic placements I can relate to. Does anyone else have

any input as far having my postions very close to the cusp. Is it of any

significance?
