Guest guest
Have those of you in America seen "Pearl Harbor" the movie lately? Those actors- the main couple in the movie, those were my parents. Both Navy people. Their lives were one way before that day, and after that day, it was all different. I was born from a union of pain and "taking care" simply because of that horrific day. My mother at that age even looked alot like the main actress. My father was an officer on one of the ships in the harbor. At 6:30 they were eating breakfast. By 7:30 everybody was dead. Inbetween, he watched Mistubishi Zeros zip back and forth dropping death on everyone he knew. He did the whole rest of the war as a needed officer on a very needed ship. He came home damaged goods. My mother took "care" of him by marrying him and having kids for Jesus. But he had to be put away in a mental hospital eventually. Raising us 11 kids alone, she was broke, and disturbed, all her life. She had essentially an incredibly difficult and bitter life. I just got a call last night that she's took a turn for the worse. It seems to be the end. The Pearl Harbor parents, are gradually becoming no more. It's the end of the days of those who fought WWII, it's the end of an era of great pain. Last night I watched a documentary about the other side, the German side of the war. So much pain. Unbelievable. The pain and trauma, and all it's results, were so complete and total. You have to understand the nature of "total irreversible dharma" that she carried to not abandon this man. It's in the movie in a way. The bindings of karma and caring are pretty total sometimes, in some lives. That generation was affected by very heavy world events. Same on the European/Holocaust side. The bindings of identity and commitment after the war were total. The State of Israel for example, has some pretty intense memories and feelings driving it's existence. In the aftermath of this we discuss. The effects of these wars are still with us. Many of the borders and other realities around us are created by these matters. I know for myself, growing up in that family is part of what made me aware that I just wanted to spread spiritual awareness and PEACE ON EARTH. Just processing out the pain. Thanks for listening. das goravani
