Guest guest
Hi everyone, I guess the prospects of marriage Feb. 1968 are strong when considered by the method outlined by Pt. Sanjayrath.( i hope i didn't screw up in looking up the chart of the native / reading the post of shri.rath) The second from UL is Aries. The seventh lord in d-1 happens to be the Sun and in navamsa it happens to be mercury. Jupiter, happens to be in Leo during the whole of 1968, starting sep. 1967. Thereby aspecting the second from UL, by graha and rasi drishti, Mercury the 7th lord in navamsa, is in aquarious, since jan 1968, and the sun arrives into the aq. on the 13/14th of feb. 1968, which i guess fortified marriage, gaining the aspect of jupiter. ( I guess it would also make sense to take the graha drishti between planetary aspects and rasi drishti for plantary-sign aspects) All the conditions that pt. Sanjay rath, mentions seem to be satisfied here. Could someone appraise this interpretation as right / wrong. warm Regards and respect, Karthik

Guest guest
Hi KArthik, Well done. Your explanation of the event is consistent with the teachings of Pt. Sanjay Rath. But, transits are clinchers, before that one must cross-check with the Dasas to see if the static promise is present. So try Narayana Dasa, Vimshottari Dasa and see if marriage is promised, further verify with Varsha Chart. Guest guest
Dear Karthik: I'm rather skeptical of some of the Jaimini techniques of Sanjay Rath. They seem overly complicated and I haven't seen a good argument for their efficacious use. Maybe when some of his students can get some blind quizzes right, I might be more favourably disposed towards them! As it is, I think you need to expain more of your logic below to those of us who are unfamiliar with it. Off the top, I'd say you would still need to explain why it was THIS transit of Sun in Aq and Jupiter in Leo that led to marriage at this time. I think you still have to show why "standard" rules of interpretation are insufficient to explain events before you start to invoke more esoteric factors such as UL (I gather, upapada lagna?) Why should we abandon standard rules of interpretation? On other words, what's wrong with the 7th house?
