One can only hope that the pronunciation is good enough to evoke the right vibrations. the average westerner is not likely to get the right pronunciation, intonation etc. But the scandinavians could: they still preserve, in their languages, the vedic structure. > Here's a dumb question: why is it necessary to have faith in God if one is > chanting to the planets? If one prays to one planet, he also accepts that the other planets too can be gods. His prayer to one does not make that planet (or its ruler) the Supreme Being: more people may be praying to another planet and elevating it to that state! Actually the chanting of mantras may not have anything to do with the "gods" of the planets, but may be only vibrations that enhance or counteract the vibrations of the planets : in a kind of physics that we don´t understand as yet. The other remedial measures like giving in charity may be tokens for the Supreme Being, only referring to the "effects" of the planet in question. The mythological stories regarding the planets are essentially coded info about the planets; I personally do not think of the planets as gods, but as lenses which concentrate certain cosmic forces. they may also harbour spirits, but I think they are more concerned with the well-being of the planets, not our fates. regards Mani > > Chris > > > > > gjlist- > > > > Your use of is subject to > >
