Wendy, it may still have a different extension called .prn - once you've

exported it, open it and "File Save" as a Word for Windows file - i.e. .doc

extension, not .prn - then you can delete your .prn file.

[gjlist] Sending chart (E-mail)

: Hi Das et al,

:

: I seem to be having some difficulty sending chart printout (Goravani

: program) via email. I've followed the steps as laid out (E-mail output in

: features window) but the recipient tells me it's a jumbled mess when they

: open the attachment. I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. Can someone

: please tell me the simple way (step by step) to do this so the mail

: recipient receives it in a readable form.

:

: Regards, Wendy

Thank you for quick reply Sateesh!

I've done as you suggested and saved as: Word for Windows 6.0 (that's the

only option similar to what you said). I'm attaching it here to see if it

works.

Hi, Wendy.

You're welcome :-) - yes, 6.0 is the option - did you attach the Chart? It

doesn't show here.

Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!!

Namaste dear sister Wendy!!

i discovered re email out put, that it works better if you don't use

the "feature" button, but rather the "print" button...it will then ask

you where you want to send the "printed copy"...to your screen, print

it, or a text file...i go for the text file...then it crunches the

numbers...and asks you where you want to put the file...

usually i save it just in my documents...leaving it as a .prn

file...(i didn't realise you could change it in the "file save"

option..)

then i'll do the transits separately, as that works better for

details...althought the email text output sometimes appears a little

jumbled, because the columns and set up are for a wider page than what

i've got...so you find the dates and such a little jumbled...you can

however just move the entire column back 4 spaces (a lot of work)..and

it will sort itself out....

then i do the "long" version of the vimshottari dasas...separately

also, because i discovered that Goravani's email output for the

Vimshottari dasas only goes to 2 levels....if you however do the

Vimshottari dasas separately...the "long" version (still on the

"print" menu which popped up after you originally pressed the "print"

button instead of the "features" one...)...if you do this longer

version, it will do the dasas at least to three levels...more

useful...

this seems to have arrived in a useful form for folks....i also tell

them to open the attachment in "word" or "wordpad" because i had saved

in in "wordpad" (word didn't come with my computer...and i'm too poor

to ever get it!...perhaps that's why my Transit pages appear to not

be arranged quite right...it works but untidy...probly because of

using word pad, which isn't so agile as word.)

i hope that this may help somewhat...

in the Divine Mother's love,

and in Her Service,

as ever,

your own self,

visvanathan
