Guest guest
Wendy: Pinpointing any event to a particular day is (to my mind) a time-consuming, >pointless exercise that no experienced pundit would engage in. There are >always so many variables to consider...sookshmantar dasa, transits, >etc...what practicing astrologer has time for all that? I think you're confusing the aims and objectives of these tests. Are these blind tests really attempting to pinpoint events down to a particular day? Yes, but since the day is already known as in Quiz 1 or Quiz 3, then half of your work is done, isn't it? These tests are not the same as trying pinpoint the day for a client that a predicted event will come to pass -- "you will get that promotion Sep 9 or Sep 10" or some such. The difference here is that the quizzes are always supposed to deal with important events in a person's life. Important events will involve all sorts of astrological factors pointing the same way at around the same time. As in our previous case, the woman emigrated on Dec 3. But surely this event would have stood out amongst most other events that occurred that year. If astrology works at all, then these sorts of major events will be more easily seen than the everyday sort of event that occurs all the time. So it isn't necessary to narrow the time frame since the time is already given. If the event is important, then it will show up. In quiz 4, the question is such that you have to figure out the time frame. This is more analogous to your concern as it is a time-based one. But notice, no one is really expecting anyone to nail the marriage date down to the exact *day* if happened. If they did, I would be totally blown away. And *that* would be a time-consuming and near pointless exercise, I would agree. Getting the right year would be impressive enough, and the right month that much more so.
