Hello Rhoda,

For Scorpio Ascendant, Jupiter's mooltrikona sign Sagittarius becomes

2nd house.

2nd lord going to 8th house , in general, for Vrischik Lagna , (subject

to natal positions) signifies -:

- Family happiness impediments

- Family members / neighbours bringing obstacles

- Sometimes speach problems

- Tendency of using foul language / faslehood

- Improvement in financial position thru easy gains

- Likelyhood of inheritance/easy money coming through

- Chances of right eye-vision getting affected or weaker

- Employing illegal/undesirable means to earn money

- Changing eating habits towards junk / unhealthy food, etc....

Best wishes,

thank you ravindra for the reply ..but may i say that

the transits are seen more from the moon signs?which

means scorpio moon people having the effect.

it will affect the moon sign scorpio more than the

lagna scorpios.

am i right members?

Dear Rhoda ji,

If one is aware of the ascendant, it is always better to see taransits

wrt ascendant sign. It gives more specificity.

However, one school also follows strictly transits effects from the

natal Moon position and birth chart analysis from Ascendant.

My views only.

Rhoda:

Traditionally the transits are seen primarily from the position of Moon.

However, the transits from lagna also have a significant influence, as do

the transits from Sun and other planets.

If (for instance) Jupiter was transiting 8th from Natal Moon and 5th from

lagna, then mind (5th) may be pre-occupied with 8th house matters, some

difficulties connected with children would be possible, etc...just a very

basic idea of judging the effect of transit in relation to Moon and

lagna...nothing solid as each horoscope has many factors to consider.

One would also need to judge the effect of transits from dasa lords in the

same way. IMHO, although I know some who do it...a bit miss and hit though,

it's not possible to judge the effect of transits without considering the

chart as a whole and the dasas in particular.

out of all the factors that are ruled by 2nd house

(family, finance, speach, food, eyes etc), why

finance is having positive results and the others

negetive results. Can you please elobarate on this a

Dear Sri Raju,

8th house is a Dusthana but it has still some positive significations,

too like easy money, easy gains i.e. earning money without efforts like

in say dowry ( in India), insurance policy claim , inheritance, etc ...

but this has to at the cost of something...like insurance after death or

accident, or such a things; dowry at the cost of self esteem,

inheritance at the cost of death of say father, etc. but this ( transit)

has to be supported by other factors in the natal chart. In fact just

2nd lord transiting the 8th house and without the support of positivity

in natal chart for the 8th house significations, finance position

becomes weaker( again this is more so for slow moving planet and

supported by dasha/s)

Hope this may be of any help.

Raju:

I'll leave it to Ravindra to explain his prediction, but might I suggest

it's because the 2nd is the house of finance, Jupiter is the planet of

wealth, and the 8th is the house of "unearned income".

Hi, I hope no one minds my posting this link, but I had this post saved

I really liked from that other astro group, which is by far the

best description I've seen of the 8th house, the positive and negatives,

which might help in deciphering how a transit of Jupiter may turn out, vedic astrology/message/5819

Dear members,

I have a Scorpio ascendant, and Jupiter in the 8th in

Gemini. What can I expect since Jupiter is transiting

the house where it is placed in the rasi chart?

Hello all,

Does this mean that the transit of Jupiter in Gemini from

16. will make a scorpio native deprived of

his income?, for I came acros someone from Andrapradesh saying that thsuch a

transit will bring about gains in lotteries

and so on, if the person is undergoing 8. lords Dasa/bukthi, while the

transit happens. Any commnents please.

Hi everyone,

Just curious--a few books here talk about Vedha of planets during

transit. For example, Jupiter in Gemini is 8th from Scorpio Moon and would

be unfavorable except for a planet (Saturn) being in the 7th causing Vedha

(obstruction) and thus making favorable effects. Do many of you use this?

Your opinions?

It seems in reading that Ashtaka Varga may dominate--that is, if say

Jupiter had 7 bindus and the house had 31 it'd be strong to give good

results. Or say if Jupiter were in 9th from Moon with no Vedha but Ashtaka

Varga was 2/21, would it be too weak to do very much?

Namaste,

Robin
