Guest guest
Dear Listmembers, I have recently been in touch by email with a dear lady friend of years back, who is undergoing eye operations for cataracts. I would be very grateful for any help to her by our learneds on the List, since she has Sagittarius rising and Jupiter in the 12th house when I ran her chart with Goravani Jyotish program. My limited understanding is that 12th house rules left eye. With blurry vision in her right eye, I'm greatly concerned for her to have a favorable outcome. The question for muhurtha is: When are favorable times for her to have a cataract operation for her left eye, the operation for the left eye to be done in Orlando Florida USA (28N 32, 81 W 22) scheduled for some time in August 2001. Here is her birth data and some colorful background email snips (with permission, and my comments in brackets) from Carolyn: (May 18, 2001)<<The cataract surgery [on the right eye] didn't help the actual sight as far as 20/whatever ... only made things a bit brighter - colors, etc. But - after I get the other eye done, I will get new glasses, and that may improve the situation... I have been interested [in Vedic astrology] for years - but have not been able to truly study any of this until now. Am just settling in to read some of Ronnie Gayle Dryer's material - James Braha, etc... Birth Data ---- April 2 1947 2:28 AM Standard Time Atlanta, Ga. 84W23 33N44 <<since I am on disablity I am usually at home most of the time. -- My days are otherwise taken up with LOTS of astrology study , bunches of reading, etc. etc. >> <<Subj: Re: Muhurtha-(election chart) for eye operation 5/22/2001 10:52:42 AM Eastern Daylight Time CarolJMB Carolhook <<A Great Idea ! Thanks for offering to pose the question... Of course, I would love to get any and all input ! Well now, I must admit that I FEEL as if I am running Some sort of Something right now ! [Rahu dasa] But, I had just about decided that my whole life could best be described as living in those famous/infamous " interesting times " ! The first operation was on the right eye - on April 19th - ( about 8 AM ) here in SE Orlando, at the new University Surgical Center...The left eye would be scheduled at the same place sometime in August, I would think... The outcome of the first operation was pretty much what was expected, - as I have astigmatism, and the doctor said he was fairly sure going into the surgery that he could not correct that to any significant degree. So, the main objective was to brighten and clear things up with a new lens. Then, we could try a new prescription for glasses ( after both eyes were done ) to gain some improvement for reading, etc. The other problem I encountered was extreme redness in the eye ( and a bit of a shiner ! ) both of which are still visible... but - diminishing .... All the folks around here expected some of that, as they are all in agreement that I have "spleen deficiency" - in their parlance - thus would bruise easily, etc. ( I must say it is a bit disconcerting being surrounded by so many acupuncture practitioners. Hardly anyone gets by them in the daily shuffle without having their tongue checked , fingernails inspected, and/or pulse taken - after which they murmur things like "threadyreedy metal over wind " . They are prone to odd, abrupt questions, like -" have you been thirsty lately, but when you get a glass of water, you take two sips and put it down, leaving full glasses abandoned all over the house" or " Do you normally like lemons, but find that there are no good lemons being sold anymore - they are all much too sour ?" Then, they will nod and say "ahh" or " um-mm " and glide away, muttering " liver attacking the spleen " or " damp wind constricting the gall bladder " If they are acting a bit depressed, edgy and jittery, in danger of floating TOO far out of the consensus reality, etc.- I might reply ( as I know most of their charts albeit Western ! ) " of course, Saturn chasing the Moon " or " um-mm - Mars in Sag under tension from transiting Chiron, Pluto, AND Mars Retrograde at High declination ". or a simple " Peregrine Neptune " Thus, we all get to be a bit mysterious, AND sit down and explain ourselves often enough to help each other out a bit as we go along our merry paths..That's what makes it fun ! ) Hope this gives you enough info - Please feel free to inquire - and use my first name if you wish... If you need any other data, let me know... Peace and Joy, Carolyn [Thank you in advance, to all who may assist in electing a favorable time for Carolyn's operation! My best to all, Carol]
