Hi Angie,

Very, very good question you ask here, as this goes

into that area where are all have to go sooner or

later, and something that is discussed enough in my

opinion. Here's my take on it:

Anytime I have a client that comes to see me, I ask

them if it would alright to use their chart in my

ongoing research on varied and sundried things; if the

person's chart has some standout features that pertain

to spousal abuse, for example, I will ask for

permission to use thier chart in a research paper that

I'm working on. Of course, I will not publish their

birth details or name, but I think that it is

important for us Astrologers to further our research

in the effort to better serve the Public.

As for "bad news", it has been my experience that more

often than not, the client already knows of what is

coming, and our work as Astrologers only confirms

this. It then comes down tom the counseling skills of

the Astrologer to properly guide the client through

such situations - but it is important for the

AStrologer to be straight-up when the circumstances

demand it.

For example, let's say you have someone that has

SAturn in the 7 house, debil., and, they are also have

the Moon in the 8 (Taurus). Now, let's also say, for

the sake of arguement, that Sani Dasa is in operation,

AND SAde Sati is running as well...the person

definitely wants to discuss relationship matters, and

perhaps is a bit desperate about his prospects for

relationship. Now, some Astrologers would try to

"soften" up such a situation, by suggesting that he

could find someone satisfying, but I know from

personal experience that such combinations, unless

counterbalancing very strongly elsewhere in the chart,

do not make for happiness in relationships. They do,

however, make for great success in Spiritual matters,

which, in an environment that is as Rahu-heavy as the

USA, is NOT a popular option for many Americans,

regardless of how much Religious Windowdressing they

may do. Anyway, what I would do, in that case, is I

would explain the whole thing to the client, and

strongly suggest to him, that it would be wise to go

into Spiritual study, at least for the duration of the

Sani Dasa, even if that meant a decade or longer -

again, this is in the case of the chart overall not

supporting relationship. I have done this several

times with such charts, to varying degrees of success.

The same can be said for Medical analysis. I have had

cases were I could clearly see that things were only

going to get worse, for the client and all others

concerned. What I do in those cases, is that I either

pull someone in the family aside and run it down to

them, or, if the person themself can handle it, I will

tell them.

But, there ARE instances where being so Sag-like is

not preferred, and I have learned this over the years.

This requires a good bit of study into the horoscope

of the client, to determine the extent to which they

can handle "bad news". In such cases, I have found it

helpful to drop subtle hints and "ease" them into

situation, doing all that I can to prepare them for

the inevitable.

No One Escapes Karma.

Of the many charts that I have done for people, I have

yet to hear a "no" to the request to use my findings

with their chart for the betterment of future clients,

provided, of course, that I with hold their birth

details. I have found, that when I phrase my request

just right, no one can say no to it:

"Listen Bob, I know that this is a bit unrelated, but

in my preparation for today's meeting, I noticed that

you have a combination in your horoscope that suggests

strongly a possible career interest in the

Metaphysical Arts. Has there indeed been interest

along with lines, and if so, may I use your chart to

aid my research in this area?"

OR....

"Liz, I really had a grand time today; we covered so

much ground, with so many plans for the future! But,

there is one last thing in your horoscope here, and

I'm not quite sure what to make of it...may I ask you

a Research Question, please...?"

Such approaches never fail - trust me.

At the end of the day, you have to develop your own

style of how you go about these matters, and the only

way to do that is to DO it - do as many charts and get

into as many situations as you can - yes, you WILL

make mistakes, get your feet burned a few times, and

piss a few people off, but that is the only way you

learn. No one achieves perfection from reading books

and chatting online. No one.

Hope this helps a bit. Feel free to give me a holla if

you have any other questions.

Salaam,

Mu

Thanks Mu, I really loved reading about your different approaches. I

haven't met a stranger, well, face to face I mean, where that sort of

thing has happened yet with their chart, but I hope I can have as much

control over my reactions as you :) My method currently has always

been, well, when dealing with reactions anyways, if you can't look them

in the eye, avoid them, so that was, is, a real hang up for me. By the

way, you said something in your letter that helps me in a completely

different situation I've been mulling over, maybe without knowing that?

But anyways, thanks for the pep talk :) Angie
