Guest guest
Those who need insulin etc., as per diabetes, in all stages light or heavy, may get benefit from a medicine a friend makes called "Diabete-Ease". It's an ayurvedic Rasayana. You can read about it at: http://www.ayurveda-herbs.com You can order it through that website as well There are some taking it who have been able to give up other things they were using from doctors etc., but I don't know much about diabetes, but apparently this works well to help the situation. Guest guest
Dear List, The herb 'stevia' is known as an herb to balance blood sugar to a healthy state. Whether due to low blood sugar or diabetes. It has been used since ancient times and is much sweeter than sugar, by far, needing a very small amount to sweeten, while doing its balancing act for our bodies. I no longer have the name of who it was that posted about diabetes. I hope this helps. The FDA was trying to disallow stevia when I first became aware of it about 10 -12 years ago. I'm not sure what that status is now. It may now be easier to get. I have always ordered mine from a Chinese herb dealer. Namaste, Patrice Here is a little information from an article on stevia: Stevia is almost calorie-free, so weight watchers love it. It is ideal for children since it prevents cavities. Unlike sugar, it does not trigger a rise in blood sugar. You won't get a sudden burst of energy followed by fatigue and a need for another "fix." Most importantly for our purposes, it does not feed yeast or other microorganisms, and it increases energy and aids digestion by stimulating the pancreas. And more: Since artificial sweeteners are banned in Japan, the Japanese are the greatest consumers of stevia. A member of the chrysanthemum family (closely related to tarragon and chamomile and distantly related to lettuce, artichokes, safflower oil, and sunflower seeds and oil), it is totally safe and has been used for centuries by the Indians of South America where it grows wild.
