(Deepak Chopra) Dear Daughters/Sisters, You can agree with me or you can spit on me. Both are welcome. The grass will grow by itself and cover it all! I am beyond good and eviil , as Nietsche said. Like Krishna, I will never take up arms against my children! Before we discuss, we must be clear about our bases, our philosophies. I shall explain my philosophy to you first, so that in the future you understand what I mean. !. To me God is the GREAT MOTHER, in future GM for short! 2. We are only members of the audience in a theatre. When the actor or actress acts well, we identify ourselves with the role he or she plays. Young and old, many is the time we sit in a theatre and take out our handkerchiefs to wipe off tears of sorrow or joy. The two hours we spend in that theatre are not at all part of our actal lives, but we have been Ophelia, Andromache, Lucia di Lammermoor, Desdemona, or Gigi or Eliza Doolittle or Annie with her gun ... Or Oedipus, Julius caesar, Othello, John of Gaunt, Spartacus, Hamlet or Gandhi ... irrespective of our age and sex! These things are enacted for us, to teach us situations and truth. But the actress is GM!!! We only suffer or rejoice by identifying ourselves with the roles GM enacts, we are not really doing these things ourselves at all! 3. So there is no Karma at all! Only days in the seminar. The leader of the seminar is GM and she chooses the excercises we have to go through. 3. This seminar is very economical. Every human body has many souls in it, which take part in the seminar. 4. Till all the required seminars - or semesters - are finished and each soul gets its diploma, it has no real free will. BUT during the course it gets limited opportunities of excercising free will. This is like when you learn to drive. You drive, but the teacher has a dual control: he lets you free as long as you drive correctly, but takes over control when you make a mistake. You may press on the gas pedal, but he puts the brakes on. 5. it is the responsibility of each soul to make the best of the seminars and semesters: to get the full meaning of the lessons; to learn to drive with as least assistance from the teacher as possible, watch out for all signs and circumstances. THERE IS NO SPOON FEEDING! 6. The maximumum free-will we have is in understanding the drama, learning what to emulate and WHAT NOT, in trying to drive without help. So the desire to BE RIGHT must be there, NOT a slavish attitude to the GRASPERS, the GRAHAS: They are all Satan, keeping us away from GM, continuously testing us. Moksha is when we can tell them to leave us in peace, for we are nearer to GM than they are! 7. Moksha is when we release ourselves from all mantras and rituals, siddhis and faculties. When we get away from Shamanism. 8. Mokssha is when we get to the GM and can say, Mom, we´ve hard way getting to you. All we want is to be near you, love you, laugh with you, dance with you. We don´t want to crawl back into your womb, we want to to be your children. It would be nice if you baked a cake for us and made some drinking chocolate: for then we´ll know that you love us too! That is MY eightfold Yoga! Agree with me, fight with me, spit at me, kick me : all is accepted! Only please don´t TEACH me philosophy: for 62 years during every moment I was awake and free to think for myself, I have sought the trutth. You cannot change me now! You can accept me or reject me as I am. YOU have the right to do so! As Vaivaswata Manu I gave you all the right to think for yourselves, even against me! I too disobeyed the GM and she has forgiven me. So you are free to throw rotten eggs and tomatoes at me, GM will do the washing for me! We can discuss if you respect my philosophhy. If not, we must politely agree to disagree! love Mani
