Namaste Wendy and all!! to the best of my knowledge aspirin is derived from the bark of the willow...thus the name "salix" for willow can be found in the chemical name of the drug...acetylsalicylic acid......have not heard of white oak bark helping headaches...and i suspect it would help only if one used it occasionally and for mild ones...as well, in my case, i can not take the acetylsalicylic acid...it makes my stomach hurt way beyond any help...so for me it's more in the acetominophen department. that one kills the liver slowly i guess, but at least it doesn't hurt in the tummy... in the Mother's Love, and in Her Service, as ever Your Own Self, visvanathan Om Amrtesvaryai Namah!! Guest guest
Do you know a drug called Imigran or Sumatriptan. It is prescribed in the UK for migraine sufferers and it does work (I can vouch for it!).
