Guest guest
Dear Robert, I think a lot of the misunderstandings regarding the use of drekkana (or any other varga for that matter) to predict beyond the indications of Rashi is that, in our eagerness to demonstrate our particular version, we fail to explain our ideas in a clear enough manner...hoping what I just said is a little clearer than mud :-) According to your system of prediction, using Drekkana, any major afflictions (injuries/medical problems) to the body would definitely be related to the area above neck. Now Robert, your dire prediction of injury to the head in the future may, or may not eventuate...so far it's speculation! But what is not speculation is the injury, affliction, disease already present in area below waist. This has been an indisputable fact for over 18 yrs (it is not a mild affliction, but severe and chronic). Now to say it as clearly and precisely as I can; according to your method of using drekkana to predict affliction to body, then this body part (according to drekkana) should be evident, but we see quite clearly that it is not. It is however clearly seen from Rashi. So what I'm trying to say Robert, and I hope I'm expressing myself clearly, is that we cannot use the divisional charts to show something that's not indicated in Rashi, and we cannot discount what's indicated in the Rashi in favour of some divisional chart. I would also like to comment on something you said about using my own chart as the only example...this is not true Robert. I do also consider other charts but I prefer to use mine as an example whenever possible as to start with, I have much more intimate knowledge (obviously), also I try not to discuss the intimate details of others charts in a public forum without their consent if I can avoid it. Just one more thing quickly in regards to the "significations" of Ketu verses the "temperament" (humour/dosha). The misunderstanding, I believe, comes from quoting Parashara out of context. In certain slokas the sage refers to Ketu's significations being akin to Mars; both Ketu and Rahu are consigned to the planetary army class with Mars as the commander in chief. Ketu is akin to Mars in his significations, i.e. accidental incidents, etc. However in the slokas referring to temperament, the sage describes Ketu as being windy...akin to Rahu. My view is that, understanding the slokas in the proper context, is far more important than simply committing slokas to memory. All the best Robert, Wendy
