Dear Purshottam,

Thanks for posting that example.

Saturn is Bhratri Karaka and is placed in Leo. His father died when he was

eleven. 1949 + 11 = 1960. The dasha running at that particular moment was

Leo/Leo or Virgo/Libra as we dont have the exact date of death of the chart

owner's father. The death must have occurred in Virgo dasha as then Saturn

gets to the 12th house from rashi dasha and Virgo also contains the Sthira

Karaka for father, Sun with retrograde Mercury and Ketu. I am using Char

Dasha. Saturn is totally hemmed between malefics and natural Karaka for

father is placed in the second from it, again with malefics.

Vimshottri dasha running at that time was Mercury/Jupiter. Mercury, sixth

lord from ninth and Jupiter, 12th lord from ninth house, and it comes out so

clearly. In navamsha, Mercury is placed in the 12th house from ninth and

Jupiter in the 7th from ninth, what more confirmation do we need.

Dwadashamsha again, Jupiter is in the 12th house from ninth and Mercury is

the seventh lord from ninth.

You had said, in your post, Jupiter aspects Saturn. My dear friend, never

mix up two systems. Use them separately. If you are examining a chart from

Jaimini angle, use only Jaimini astrology and if you are doing Parashari,

then look for only Parashari. Dont mix up two systems. Both systems of

analysis should enable you to arrive at one decision only.

His father would have died of illness and his own birth could have been

troublesome. Can you please pass on his father's date of death.

with best regards,

Manoj

PS : I will post some more examples showing how it works and you are welcome

to comment.

Dear Manoj,

MANOJ: If you are examining a chart from Jaimini angle, use only

Jaimini astrology and if you are doing Parashari, then look for only

Parashari. Dont mix up two systems.

What if I use the rasi aspects and dasa systems given in Brihat

Parasara Hora Sastra. Aren't they the same, or very similar, as what

Jaimini gives?

How can we use them in exclusion? They are part of the same system.

Unless you hypothesize that some clever schemer went through BPHS and

inserted portions here and there, seemingly at random in order to

fool all of the subsequent readers. It is the kali yuga though... ;-)

regards,

Alex J
