Guest guest
namaste to all! If the following has been commented on, please forgive me...I do not recall seeing the messages. Using Lahiri ayanamsa, on or about June 14, 2001, the Sun is approaching Jupiter and will be conjoined for a few days. First, the two are conjoined in Taurus; then, they move...almost together, into Gemini. I am particularly interested in the nature of this phenomenon especially for Libra-lagna (my client is a female). It is combinations like this that confuse me for the following reasons: o usually, the Sun is a malefic and Jupiter is a benefic. o however, for Libra lagna, Jupiter becomes a functional malefic (if I understand correctly). o and the Sun may be a functional malefic for some things (e.g., health matters) in the Libra's life; but a functional benefic for other things (e.g., income), if my understanding is correct. How will both of these act (beneficiently or malefically) when in 8th-house Taurus? If they are malefics, then I have been taught that malefics in a malefic house will contain the maleficience. How will both of these act (beneficiently or malefically) when in 9th-house Gemini? If this combination is benefic, then how benefic can it be...since neither Jupiter or the Sun are in a 'friendly' sign? Your assistance in helping me with this confusion is GREATLY appreciated. And may ganesh reward each of you with many blessings. ...namaste...David David LaGrone Your AdvoCare Distributor P. O. Guest guest
Dear David I think it is best in these types of sitauations to focus on the Moolatrikona sign of a planet so that for Libra Jupiter rules the3rd (initiatives) and the Sun the 11th (gains) . So this combination if well placed can lead to initaitives leading to gains .This is not the case when they are conjunct in the 8th but is the case if they are conjunct in the 9th and out of infancy .On a more pschological level the Sun conjunct any planet can lead to a lot of egoism in issues surrounding the said planet .It may not be such a good time for objective decisions regarding finances, religion .. That's my take Nicholas - "David LaGrone" <dvdlagr <gjlist> Tuesday, May 01, 2001 10:06 AM [gjlist] Questions about Sun conjoined Jupiter in mid-June > namaste to all! > > If the following has been commented on, please forgive me...I do not > recall seeing the messages. > > Using Lahiri ayanamsa, on or about June 14, 2001, the Sun is > approaching Jupiter and will be conjoined for a few days. Guest guest
Dear David, Here is a nice quote:"TRANSITING PLANETS CAN ACTIVATE RESULTS PROMISED IN THE HOROSKOPE, BUT THEY CANNOT CHANGE THE NATURE OF THOSE RESULTS." ("Light on Life", Defouw & Svoboda). So in order to be able to say what effect the Sun / Jupiter transits are going to have in your client's case, one should know her chart, and which Dasha / Bhukti she is running.
