This is an interesting example of an amazing guy. I don't really want to

comment on the rashi vs navmasha debate, but I did want to point out that

having a debilitated Mars is quite common for athletes -- however

counterintuitive that may seem. As I recall, Michael Jordan has this

placement as well. One reason is that Mars' moolatrikona sign Aries is the

10th house from Cancer. That's exactly where you would expect it should be

for someone who is famous (10th) for being an athlete (Mars). The fact

that Rahu is with Mars here helps to elevate the Mars potential further for

worldly success. Also, an exalted Sun sits in the 10th (fame or what?)

while Mars' dispositor Moon is also exalted in the 11th of gains and

desires fulfilled. So don't throw out the rashi just yet.

 

And debilitated planets don't always indicate weakness -- just difference

perhaps.
