Guest guest
Hi Wendy When I was going to school for Ayurveda, the first thing any student wants to know is their own Prakruti. So! in taking all the test I could find, I kept coming out as tri-doshic. Well, there's very little information out there for tri-doshics because its only about 1 out of 3000 people. Finding it hard to believe that I was tri-doshic I had other people evaluated me. One of my teachers said I was tri-doshic, One clinical Intern said I was Pitta/Vata, another said I was Vata/Pitta, and the director and founder of the collage labeled me as Pitta. Getting quite frustrated and trying to solve my own health problems, a fellow student said something that finally made sense. He said In India they just look at the Vrikiti , because the Vrikiti can mask the appearance of Prakruti. I know of a man whom after moving to Oregon from California went from a Vata constitution to a Kapha constitution. Whether or not he changed his pre mortal nature from Vata to Kapha or changed his Vrikiti is hard to say, because he is a healthy practitioner of Ayurveda. So any way what Im trying to get at here is that when I look at a person I look at everything I can! Natal chart [Prakruti] = Chakra strength, Transits = [Vrikiti] and as you can see the strength of a Chakra can become part of the Vrikiti and a Transit can change the Prakruti. But this is for my own use so I can lead this person back to their Dharma. In most cases the object is to stop the immediate problem at hand. In this case using Ann's words, {over abundance of fire "Pitta"} and {diarrhea, usually Pitta in origin} I deducted that the problem at hand was of a pitta nature. You might be right the original cause maybe Vata {constipation} but the symptoms look purely Pitta to me! either way neither of us can be exact without a thorough examination of her life style. ..............Bless You and Your work...............Noel
Guest guest
Hi Noel, Yes I know exactly what you mean. Several vaidyas have assigned different Prikriti to me. Unfortunately pulse diagnosis is (as you said) often disguised by vrikriti. I feel that diagnosis is much more reliable using Rashi. The doshas shift, this is true (due to transits, etc), and Vata increases in everyone with age, but one's basic prikriti and, if present (chronic) vrikriti, remains a rather solid basis in spite of the natural shifting of the doshas...transient (non-chronic) vrikriti does change according to dasas, transits, etc. I agree that chronic (full-blown) Vata imbalance is characterised by constipation, and Pitta by diarrhoea, etc...however the subdoshas are usually the first to manifest discord. Even the transits (namely Rahu) are increasing Vata in this chart. Best Wishes Wendy You wrote: ========== Hi Wendy When I was going to school for Ayurveda, the first thing any student wants to know is their own Prakruti.
