Beauty - Lagna or Arudha Lagna

Namaste Robert, Purushottam, Alex, Chris and Others

 

Though I am beginner in Jyotish, I feel that based on what I have

learned from Narasimha Rao's teachings on the other discussion list I

feel beauty is more related to Arudha Lagna, the perceive self rather

than Lagna the "satya peetha". Why

 

Because beauty, power, status - all these I feel are related to the

maya associated with the perceived self. The society judges what is

beauty and what is not - "Beauty is the eyes of beholder", women by

virtue of being actresses and models are perceived to be beautiful. I

wonder if people will consider them beatiful without their

appereances enhanced by makeup and plastic surgeries.

 

I feel the significations of beauty are Arudha Lagna in the signs of

Taurus, Libra and/or associated/aspected by the feminine planets of

beauty - Moon and Venus.

 

The chart of my wife, who is very beautiful, has Mars in Taurus

lagna, with lord Venus with Saturn/Sun/Mercury in the 12th in Aries.

Mars in lagna hardly contributes to beauty, though she has factors

mentioned by Robert, Alex i.e conjunction of Venus and Saturn with

Taurus lagna. But she has her AL in Pisces with the only aspects via

Rasi and Graha drishti of a benefic, waxing Moon in Virgo.( The other

planetary placements are Jupiter in Libra, Rahu in Aquarius.)
