Guest guest
Patrice: Thanks for sharing your info. How close is Venus to Neptune? As it stands now, I don't know if the 2nd house plays a definite role. It may be Venus-Neptune conjunction anywhere in the chart. However, here's one to confound us: Prince Charles has a 2* Venus-Neptune conj in Virgo in his 3rd. He doesn't strike me as particularly good looking but perhaps because of his position, he projects an image of beauty, or at least, people do look at him a lot -- they have no choice! In fact, the Venus-Neptune connection may have more to do with public projections of beauty (film industry, royalty, and in your case modelling) than simple beauty per se. A friend of mine is truly beautiful (stares from men on the street type of beauty) and did model as well in her twenties. She has a 2* conj of Venus and Neptune in Libra. She has Mercury in a 1* conjunction with her asc with the Moon in the 10th in Mercury's sign Virgo. Could go either way there. Who knows? Guest guest
Hi Chris, Thanks for your response. It's interesting... I'm wondering too if it doesn't have more to do with people staring at you kind of thing. Most of my life I have had people stare to the point that family members, and my children and friends always talk with me about it, and wonder what it comes from. Since exposure to Jyotish, again I thought it may have to do with Jupiter in Pisces in the eight, some kind of mystical thing maybe. I mean you know, it's always speculation as to why and I usually read it as some spiritual attribute, if that's the right word, or maybe something like that, otherworldly. I also have Ketu in my Lagna, which made me think along those lines too. I don't think the starring is because of exceptional beauty in my case. I'm not drop-dead gorgeous or anything, but I have always been aware of the reality of being stared at. And again the modeling does tie into that. As you said, it could just be tied into projection. My Venus is 26* 5', and Neptune is 27* 39'. I just checked out my Dashamsha, and I have Mercury and Venus in Leo in the 10th house, aspected by Moon in Cancer in the 4th house. I am a real beginner here with Jyotish, but this now makes sense about my modeling, which I usually don't even give thought to, and I did have a Jyotishi tell me once this Dashamsha looks like some kind of performing arts to him. (I have been hoping it was some great talent once further developed like the music I'm learning!:-) The modeling I did mostly was show modeling. Also, photography, but mostly shows. Makes sense as 'performance'. (I dislike my photo being taken for some weird reason, perhaps the debilitation of Venus? or maybe of Moon in Lagna?) In both Lagna and Dashamsha, Ketu is in 12th house from Venus, which Venus is my Atmakaraka. Perhaps this is why I often purposefully 'stepped back' from modeling full force, and opportunities related to it such as major photography. All best, Patrice
Guest guest
Namaste Patrice, What is your Arudha lagna? This has to do with how people perceive you, not with what may be the true beauty. So in the case of people staring at someone who is not really gorgeous this ascendant is important. What is your ascendant and where is the ascendant lord placed? regards, Alex J gjlist, "Patrice Curry" <patrice.curry@h...> wrote: > Hi Chris, > > Thanks for your response. It's interesting... Guest guest
Hello Alex, Namaste. I am Leo rising (with Ketu) with Sun in the 4th along with my Moon, in Scorpio. So following the rules, and since Arudha cannot be in the house itself, or the 7th from it, I believe this puts it back in the 4th, Scorpio, correct? In Navamsa, Scorpio Lagna, Mars in the 5th, puts Arudha of Navamsa (I'm not sure of the term for this), in the 9th house in Cancer with the Moon and Ketu. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this. It's a bit confusing in the Rasi chart, to go back to the 4th house with the Sun again, but I think this is correct. With so much Scorpio and Ketu centered around my Rasi and Navamsa Lagnas or Arudhas, I would think this would give me a Mars appearance, correct? I am very golden blonde, with golden colored skin and freckles. Having grown up bodysurfing and on the beaches in California and Hawaii this also contributed to the blondeness of my hair. I wonder about that influence as Saturn being in my 2nd house, again with Mars, but also Venus, I think my hair would have been darker. (Or does the Moon in these two places in my charts, lighten my hair, or just my skin?) There are many questions here for me. I know to see my mother's father we look nine houses from my 4th house, correct? My Moon being debilitated here however, in my 4th house with the Sun, I wonder if this could indicate the tragedy of my mother's father committing suicide also, and by violent means, in Mars, secrecy, etc. of Scorpio. (My grandfather was born and raised in Denmark, Danish citizen, died here in US, also then a dual citizen.) I know fourth house is also Karaka for mother. Just so incredible how all is so intricately tied in, in all these different areas... Thanks for your question and thoughts on this. With best regards, Patrice
Guest guest
Namaste Patrice, As regards Arudha lagna in the Rasi, you are correct. It is in Scorpio with Sun and Moon. This would give a regal aura to you as perceieved by others. Moon is also a planet that rules beauty. So it is indicated here. For your Navamsa, The Arudha Lagna is possibly Pisces, as Ketu appears to be the ruler of your Navamsa ascendant. Ketu as the first lord in the 9th with the 9th lord in Navamsa gives your leaning towards the spiritual and occult. What are the other planetary placements in the Navamsa? If Mars is alone, then the ascendant lord is Ketu. The conjunction with Moon in own house again gives beauty of the Moon's kind. Venus in Virgo still gives beauty. Venus is conjunct Saturn his best friend. The aspect of Jupiter over these, and Mercury's rasi dristi gives the beautiful face. Venus with Mars and Saturn in Virgo makes the person very sexy as well. regards, Alex J gjlist, "Patrice Curry" <patrice.curry@h...> wrote: > Hello Alex, > > Namaste. > > I am Leo rising (with Ketu) with Sun in the 4th along with my Moon, in > Scorpio.
